Dinerman, Diaz compete at Winter Evening Invite
PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (Jan. 24, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's track team sent only two athletes to Friday's portion of the Winter Evening Invite, but those two athletes turned in great performances for the Scarlet Raptors.
Friday's competition, which was hosted by Widener University, was run at The Ott Center on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
Junior
Jacob Dinerman won the mile event in a 43-man field, posting his second-fastest time of the season at 4:16.93. He came back later in the night to compete in the 3,000-meter run, where he finished fourth out of 34 athletes with a PR time of 8:41.96.
Sophomore
Hector Diaz finished 12th of 29 athletes in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 8.88.
Rutgers-Camden will send four more athletes to the throwing portion on the Winter Evening Invite, where the shot put and weight throw will be competed Saturday at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
