CAMDEN, N.J. (Dec. 10, 2025) –Rutgers University-Camden junior Jacob Dinerman had another sensational season with the Scarlet Raptors' cross country program this fall and he added another major accomplishment Wednesday.

Dinerman was named the Philly-SIDA Men's Cross Country Academic All-Area Performer of the Year, leading a nine-member team that was nominated for, and voted on, by sports information offices from the 30 regional colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area.

Dinerman becomes the 83rd Scarlet Raptor to earn Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area honors since the program started during the 2005 fall semester and he is the 13th Philly-SIDA Academic Performer of the Year in that span.

Dinerman, a Liberal Studies major with a 4.0 GPA, set a Rutgers-Camden 8K program record with a time of 24:43.4 at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Cross Country Championships, where he finished fourth out of 181 runners. He broke the old program mark of 24:46.08 set at the 2008 New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships by Travis Stewart.

Dinerman's All-Metro Regional performance earned him a berth in the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 22, where he became the first Scarlet Raptor to qualify for that event since 2011 and only the third ever. He finished 92nd out of 294 runners with a time of 25:14.7.

During the fall season Dinerman led the Scarlet Raptors in all seven of his team meets, while posting five Top-6 finishes. Included in that total was a first-place finish out of 162 runners at the Osprey Open (Sept. 20) with a time of 25:07.20. He also finished second of 93 runners at the 5K Back to the Bowl Invitational (Sept. 6) and second of 327 athletes at the 8K Paul Short Run (Oct. 3).

Dinerman placed 12th of 87 runners at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Nov. 1) to earn NJAC Second Team honors after capturing NJAC First Team honors last year in all three of his sports, cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. That accomplishment made him the first Rutgers-Camden athlete to record First Team all-conference honors in all three seasons of a scholastic year.

Dinerman was named the NJAC Runner of the Week on Sept. 8 and Sept. 22 this fall, in addition to earning Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week honors on Sept. 22 and Nov. 17.

A Dean's List student who came to Rutgers-Camden during the 2024-25 scholastic year, he earned a berth on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both semesters that year.
