Watson, Franklin shine at Lions Invitational
EWING, N.J. (April 25, 2025) – The split Rutgers University-Camden track team took its top two throwers to the Lions Invitational here Friday, while several of the sprinters were competing at the Penn Relays.

Dyheim Watson and junior
Kayla Franklin both had strong performances in throwing events.
Watson finished 12th of 27 athletes in the hammer throw, posting a PR of 43.61 meters. He beat his old PR of 42.92 meters, set April 4 at the Ursinus Track & Field Festival.
Franklin, meanwhile, finished ninth of 16 athletes in the javelin with a throw of 32.25 meters. Her PR of 33.01 was set on April 19 at the Paul Donahue Invitational at Widener University.
The full Rutgers-Camden team will compete Saturday on the second day of the Lions Invitational.
