Lender, Jordan earn All-NJAC Softball Honorable Mention

CAMDEN, N.J. (April 30, 2025) – Rutgers University-Camden sophomore designated player Devyn Jordan (Delran, NJ/Delran) and freshman center fielder Ryleigh Lender (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) were honored today when the New Jersey Athletic Conference released its 2025 All-NJAC Softball Team.
 
The two players were among the top hitters on the Scarlet Raptors throughout the season and tied for the team lead with a stretch of reaching base in 10 consecutive games.

Lender finished second on the team with a .349 batting average, while starting 33 of her 35 games. She led the Scarlet Raptors with nine doubles, 45 total bases, a .523 slugging percentage, eight HBP and a .446 on-base percentage, while tying for the club lead with two home runs and 15 RBIs. She added 12 runs scored, seven walks, one sacrifice and three stolen bases, while collecting 41 putouts and five assists in center field.
 
Jordan appeared in 30 of the Raptors' 35 games, starting 26. She finished third on the club with a .329 batting average and tied for the club lead with one triple and one sacrifice fly. She added one double, 13 RBIs, seven runs and six walks, while slugging .367 and posting a .372 on-base percentage. She also stole two bases.
 
Lender had an outstanding rookie season in collegiate softball, including a home run in both ends of a doubleheader against Gwynedd Mercy on March 27. She had her longest hitting streaks of five games, accomplished twice, from April 9-13 (5-for-11, .455) and April 15-22 (7-for-13, .538). She also tied for the team lead with four multiple-RBI games, including three RBIs against Gwynedd Mercy in the first game of the March 27 doubleheader. She closed the season on April 27 by going 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs in the nightcap of a doubleheader against Rutgers-Newark.
 
A Health Sciences major who plans to attend graduate school and obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy, Lender as a Dean's List student and a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll during her first semester on campus last fall. She was one of only 23 athletes on the 167-member 2024 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA.
 
A four-year varsity softball letterwinner at Cherokee High School, Lender captured All-Conference First Team and All-Group 4 Second Team honors as a senior for the Chiefs. She also was an Honor Roll and Distinguished Honor Roll student.
 
Ryleigh is the daughter of Joseph and Jennifer Lender of Marlton.
 
Jordan appeared in eight games and hit .286 as a Rutgers-Camden rookie in 2024 before making the jump to the all-conference team this spring. She had five multiple-hit games, including a pair of games with three hits, coming against DeSales (3-for-3 in the nightcap of an April 10 doubleheader) and nationally-ranked Rowan (3-for-3, one RBI in the opener of an April 22 doubleheader). She had her season-high five-game hitting streak from April 19-27, going 8-for-15 (.533).
 
Another Health Sciences major who plans to get her Doctor of Physical Therapy, Jordan plans to become a physical therapist. She is a Dean's List student and a two-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
 
A softball letterwinner at Delran High School, Devyn is the daughter of Alise and Kevin Jordan of Delran.
