NEW ORLEANS (Jan. 29, 2026) – The Division III collegiate cross country season ended on November 22, but Rutgers University-Camden junior Jacob Dinerman is still reaping honors from his spectacular year.

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Athletes for the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country season on Thursday and Dinerman was among the elite student-athletes earning recognition. In order to qualify for the honor, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish among the top 25 percent of their regional championship meet.

Dinerman captured All-Metro Region recognition when he finished fourth out of 181 runners at the Metro Region Cross Country Championships on Nov. 15. He set an 8K Rutgers-Camden program record of 24:43.4 while earning a berth in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, which were held on Nov. 22 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At the national championships, Dinerman finished 92nd out of 294 runners in a time of 25:14.7 to cap his stellar year.

Dinerman was the first Rutgers-Camden runner to compete in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships since Alec Connelly in 2011 and only the third Scarlet Raptor ever.

Dinerman's program-record performance at the Metro Regional broke Travis Stewart's old mark of 24:46.08, set at the NJAC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1, 2008.

During the fall season, Dinerman earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors, placing 12th out of 87 runners at the NJAC Championships. That award added to the NJAC First Team recognition he captured during the 2024-25 scholastic year during all three of his seasons – cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. He is the only Rutgers-Camden athlete to record a First Team all-conference sweep during all three seasons of a scholastic year.

In addition to his 8K cross country program record, Dinerman also holds a pair of Rutgers-Camden indoor track records in the mile (4:10.92) and the 3,000-meter run (8:37.41).

Dinerman's USTFCCCA academic recognition is the second big academic honor he has captured his scholastic year. He was named the Philly-SIDA Men's Cross Country Academic All-Area Performer of the Year, leading a nine-member team that was nominated for, and voted on, by sports information offices from the 30 regional colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area.

A Liberal Studies major with a 4.0 GPA, Dinerman led the cross country program in all seven of his team meets during the fall, while posting five Top-6 finishes. Included in that total was a first-place finish out of 162 runners at the Osprey Open (Sept. 20) with a time of 25:07.20. He also finished second of 93 runners at the 5K Back to the Bowl Invitational (Sept. 6) and second of 327 athletes at the 8K Paul Short Run (Oct. 3).

Dinerman was named the NJAC Cross Country Runner of the Week on Sept. 8 and Sept. 22 during the fall semester, in addition to earning Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week honors on Sept. 22 and Nov. 17.

A Dean's List student who came to Rutgers-Camden during the 2024-25 scholastic year, he earned a berth on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both semesters that year.
