WAYNE, NJ – Ava Stowell had two goals, none bigger than her goal with just 15 minutes left as Rutgers-Camden (6-1-3, 2-1 NJAC) rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat William Paterson (4-6, 0-3 NJAC) 2-1 in women's soccer play on Wednesday.
Brianne Reeves scored a goal and assisted on Stowell's final goal as the Scarlet Raptors enjoyed a 12-6 shots edge.
Stowell scored at 16:59 for an early 1-0 lead. After the Pioneers scored in the 44th and 59th minutes, Reeves leveled the score at 2-all on a penalty kick at 63:33.
Stowell's game-winner came as Reeves passed her the ball at 74:35 for the final edge.
Rutgers-Camden heads to Kean on Saturday.
