Watson, Franklin finish fourth in hammer throw at Stockton Invitational
GALLOWAY, N.J. (March 20, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden track teams opened their outdoor season here Friday when the hammer throwers competed on the first day at the Stockton Invitational.
The Scarlet Raptors saw junior
Dyheim Watson finish fourth out of 27 competitors in the men's hammer throw, while senior
Kayla Franklin was fourth out of 17 athletes in the women's hammer throw.
Watson recorded a PR throw of 45.0 meters, while freshman
Muhammad Elijah Samad-Muhammad finished 23rd (22.90 meters) and freshman
Michael Hawkins placed 24th (18.97 meters). Freshman
Monroe Hall and sophomore
Emmanuel Richaredson also competed for the men, but fouled.
On the women's side, Franklin had a PR hammer throw of 35.76 meters, while freshman
Arianna Lalli finished eighth (29.64 meters) and freshman
Asha Pensa Johnson placed 15th (20.69 meters),
The remainder of the Rutgers-Camden team will compete Saturday on the second day of the Stockton University Invitational.
