Dinerman sets 800 mark as Raptors have strong showing at Paul Donahue Invitational
CHESTER, Penn. (April 17, 2026) – Junior
Jacob Dinerman broke the Rutgers University-Camden record at 800 meters and the Scarlet Raptors set several personal records as they competed here Friday on the first day of the Paul Donahue Invitational, held at Widener University.
Dinerman finished fifth of 31 in the 800-meter Elite race in a time of 1:50.96, breaking the program mark of 1:51.54 set by Mike Fox on May 13, 2008, at the Swat Last Chance Meet.
In the men's shot put, junior
Dyheim Watson finished 20th of 38 (11.47 meters), while freshmen
Michael Hawkins and
Monroe Hall both set their PR, finishing 27th (10.95 meters) and 31st (10.39 meters), respectively. Sophomore
Emmanuel Richardson also had a PR in the shot, finishing 32nd (10.03 meters).
Watson also placed 19th of 33 in the discus (36.46 meters), while freshman
Willyam Dupreville was 10th of 24 in the triple jump (12.44 meters).
The women throwers saw a strong performance by senior
Kayla Franklin, who finished 10th of 23 in the javelin (31.44 meters), 14th of 32 in the discus (32.89 meters) and ninth of 41 in the shot put (11.05 meters).
Freshman
Arianna Lalli placed 27th in the discus (27.00 meters).
Freshman
Asha Pensa Johnson placed 11th of 41 in the shot put with a PR of 10.91 meters, while freshman
Shania Bernard placed 36th in the shot put with a PR of 8.64 meters.
The Scarlet Raptors will return to Widener University on Saturday for the final day of the Paul Donahue Invitational.
