Dinerman, Deleon have record days at Widener Final Qualifier

CHESTER, Penn. (May 11, 2026) – Senior Jacob Dinerman broke his own program record at 1,500 meters and freshman Jayden Deleon finished first while tying his own program high jump record as several Rutgers University-Camden athletes competed in the Widener Final Qualifier here Monday.
 
Dinerman finished eighth of 66 runners at 1,500 meters in a time of 3:48.17, breaking the program record of 3:51.98 he set on April 10 at the Delaware Invitational.
 
Deleon tied his program mark of 2.06 meters while finishing first of 17 athletes in the high jump. He set that mark of 2.06 meters at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on May 3. Freshman Abdulbasit Shodolu finished 13th in the high jump (1.85 meters).
 
Senior Jamir Driggins finished 15th of 23 in the 110-meter hurdles (15.5) and freshman Willyam Dupreville placed 11th of 13 in the triple jump (12.92 meters).
 
Freshman Asha Pensa Johnson, who holds the program record in the discus (42.85 meters), fouled on her three attempts at the discus.
