Olivia Rocks emerged as the top runner with the Rutgers-Camden women’s cross country program during her freshman season at Rutgers-Camden, leading the team in six of her eight invitationals and earning team MVP honors. She continued her outstanding freshman year during indoor season, mainly in the mile and 800 meters, and will collect her third varsity letter during outdoor track season.

In addition to her athletic abilities, Rocks is a member of Rutgers-Camden’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and she earned a berth on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2016 semester.
Indoor Track 2016-17: Competed in five indoor meets, running a variety of events including the mile (four times), 800 meters (three times) and the 1,000- and 3,000-meter runs once apiece. ..Also anchored the 1600 Sprint Medley team that finished sixth of seven at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 9) while setting a Rutgers-Camden program record with a 4:47.52 clocking…Opened the indoor season Dec. 3 at the Bow-Tie Classic, finishing second of 18 at 800 meters (2:39.33), eighth of 24 in the mile (6:00.45) and third of seven at 3,000 meters (12:21.58)…In addition to the sprint medley, she also placed 13th of 28 in the mile (5:49.65) at the Wagner meet…Finished 15th of 51 at 800 meters (2:36.12) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21)…Won both the 1,000-meter run (3:30.66, first of seven athletes) and the mile (6:08.43, first of 10) at the Widener Field Meet (Jan. 27)…Closed the indoor season at the St. Joseph’s College Invitational (Feb. 11), finishing 18th of 66 at 800 meters (2:32.49) and 10th of 42 in the mile (5:46.74), both personal bests.
Cross Country 2016: Paced the Scarlet Raptors at both of the 5K invitationals to open the season, finishing 44th of 92 overall at the Bryn Mawr Invitational Sept. 1 (24:16.7) and 44th of 82 at the Philadelphia Metropolitan meet Sept. 10 (26:51.9)…Finished second on the team and 102nd of 148 overall at the 6K Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational (Sept. 17) in a time of 29:20.25…Led the Scarlet Raptors at the next four 6K invitationals, beginning with the NJAIAW Championships (Sept. 24), when she finished 114th of 190 overall in a time of 28:39.41…Finished 87th of 160 overall with a 29:30.0 time at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial (Oct. 8)…Posted a 27:26.0 time to place 345th of 385 at the Inter-Regional Border Battle (Oct. 15)…Notched a 27:53.27 time at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Oct. 29) to finish 69th of 89…Set her personal best 6K time of 27:09.8 at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals (Nov. 12), finishing second on the team and 257th of 304 overall.
High School: Captured 10 varsity letters as a multi-sport athlete at Cinnaminson High School, competing in cross country, swimming, winter track and spring track…Qualified for state championship meets in cross country, winter and spring track…Holds multiple school records at Cinnaminson High School.
