Injuries took their toll on Scott Bamberg Jr. during the 2017-18 scholastic year, limiting him to only one indoor track meet. He continued his fine work in the classroom, earning his third berth in four semesters on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Indoor Track 2017-18: Competed in one meet, running on the 4x400 team (13th of 18, 3:42.23) in the Fast Times Before Finals event at Lehigh University (Dec. 9)…Injured most of the season.

Outdoor Track 2017: Competed in one invitational to start the season before being sidelined…Ran at the Golden Ram Invitational (March 25) at West Chester University, competing at 800 meters (2:07.47, finishing 20th of 40) and running the first leg of the Raptors’ 4x400 team, which finished 12th of 12 in a 3:58.74 clocking.

Indoor Track 2016-17: Competed at three meets, including the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 9), where he anchored the program’s record-setting 1600 Sprint Medley (3:48.71), which placed sixth of eight…Opened the season finishing sixth of 27 in the 800-meter run at the Bow-Tie Classic (Dec. 3), notching a 2:11.05 clocking…Set a personal best at 800 meters at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 20), running a 2:08.19 to finish 57th of 78.

Cross Country 2016: Competed in five invitationals, running everywhere from second to fourth on the Scarlet Raptors’ team…Made his collegiate debut at the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational at Rowan University (Sept. 17), posting a time of 31:57.94 on a course that was later found to be 7.8K instead of 8K, while finishing fourth on the Raptors and 132nd of 174 overall…Ran his first official 8K race at the Osprey Open (Sept. 24) at Stockton University, placing third on the Raptors and 77th of 155 overall in a time of 30:02.87…Finished second on the Raptors and 58th of 162 at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial (Oct. 8) in a time of 32:07.5…Notched a 31:50.58 time and placed fourth on the team and 74th of 86 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Oct. 29…Closed the season at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals (Nov. 12), posting his top 8K time of 29:08.6 to finish second on the Rutgers-Camden team and 234th of 303 runners overall.
