Biography

Kyrsten Piper had an outstanding freshman year at Rutgers-Camden in 2017-18, earning a weekly honor from the New Jersey Athletic Conference for her play on the soccer pitch, capturing Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week honors and compiling a 4.0 grade point average for both of her semesters to earn two berths on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. Among her six games, faced the two toughest teams on the Scarlet Raptors’ schedule and finished the year with a 2.75 goals-against average
 
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll 2017 Fall and 2018 Spring semesters. She was one of only nine student-athletes (out of 141) to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2017 Fall semester and one of only 10 on the 129-member 2018 Spring semester AD Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0.
 
Soccer 2017: NJAC Rookie of the Week (Sept. 11)…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week (Sept. 11)…Started all six of her appearances…Played 426:04 minutes, compiling a 2-4 record, a .729 save percentage and 35 saves…Allowed 13 goals for a 2.75 goals-against average, with seven of the goals coming against The College of New Jersey and Johns Hopkins University, two teams that finished the season in the Top 6 nationally…Without those two outings, had a 1.54 goals-against average…Faced 103 shots…Faced 20 shots and made eight saves in her first collegiate game to post a 2-1 victory over Shenandoah University (Sept. 9)…Followed up that performance on Sept. 10 facing 17 shots and making a career-high 10 saves, posting her first collegiate shutout in a 1-0 blanking of North Carolina Wesleyan…The impressive weekend performance earned her Raptor of the Week and NJAC Rookie of the Week on Sept. 11…Faced 17 shots and made six saves in a 2-0 loss against Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 16)…Faced 14 shots, made two saves and allowed four goals in the first 31:03 of an 8-1 loss against Johns Hopkins (Sept. 20), which was ranked No. 11 nationally at the time and finished the season ranked No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches Div. III poll…Played 80:01 in goal against another powerful team, dropping a 3-1 decision against Montclair State University (Sept. 23), facing 18 shots, making three saves and allowing three goals…Against nationally No. 3-ranked TCNJ (Sept. 27), played the first half of a 5-0 loss, facing 17 shots, making six saves and allowing three goals.
