The Rutgers-Camden golf program knew it was getting a top-notch player when Richard Stolz transferred to the campus last season from national powerhouse Methodist University. Stolz was everything the Scarlet Raptors could imagine and more, as he turned in a phenomenal junior year at Rutgers-Camden on his way to earning berths on the Division III PING All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team and the North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team.

Named Rutgers-Camden’s Most Valuable Player, Stolz was a five-time medalist, a five-time NEAC Golfer of the Week and averaged a stellar 77.3 in his combined 14 rounds over the fall and spring semesters.

Stolz continued his success during the 2018 fall semester, capturing two medalist honors and a pair of NEAC Golfer of the Week awards. In his 20 rounds at Rutgers-Camden, he owns a career average of 76.4.

Fall 2018: Averaged 74.2 in six invitationals…Was the overall medalist at the Ursinus Fall Invitational (Sept. 24, shooting a 72 to lead a field of 52) and at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 1, shooting a 70 to lead a field of 27)…Earned NEAC Golfer of the Week honors on both Oct. 2 and Oct. 9…Opened the season with a 75 at the NJCU Invitational (Sept. 18), basically tying for first out of 29 golfers, but losing medalist honors on matching cards…Shot a 77 to finish third on the Raptors and fourth of 24 overall at the Stockton Invitational (Oct. 10)…Placed first on the team and 13th of 89 overall at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational (Oct. 15), carding a round of 73…Shot a 78 to tie for second on the Raptors and tie for fifth of 19 overall at the NEAC Fall Preview (Oct. 20).

Spring 2018: Averaged 77.6 in nine rounds…Led Rutgers-Camden at five of the Scarlet Raptors’ eight invitationals and never finished lower than 10th… Division III PING All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team…North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team after carding a two-day total of 72-82—154 at the NEAC Championships (April 28-29), tying for first on the team and tying for second of 42 overall…Two-time NEAC Golfer of the Week (March 27 and April 3)…Team MVP…Medalist at the Scotland Run Shootout (March 31), shooting a 73 to lead a 72-man field…Opened the season tying for fifth of 38 golfers, while leading the Scarlet Raptors with a 78 at the Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 14)…Led the team and finished second of 15 overall with a round of 72 at the Jefferson University Invitational (March 19)…Shot a 78 to lead the team and finish fourth of 46 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 9)…Third on the Raptors and tied for ninth of 26 overall, carding an 86 at the Stockton University Invitational (April 11)…Round of 79 tied him for 10th of 47 overall and helped him finish third on the Raptors at the Stevenson University Invitational (April 23)…Placed second on the team and tied for sixth of 43 overall with a 78 at the Alvernia University Invitational (April 24).

Fall 2017: Averaged 76.8 in five rounds…Three-time overall medalist…Three-time NEAC Golfer of the Week (Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24)…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on Oct. 23…Made his Rutgers-Camden debut at the Moravian Fall Invitational (Sept. 28), shooting an 82 to tie for third on the Raptors and tie for 17th of 59 overall…Started a run of three straight medalist honors, carding a 76 to lead the field of 22 at the Stockton Fall Invitational (Oct. 1)…Finished first of 44, shooting a 73 to earn medalist honors at the Penn College Invitational (Oct. 10)…Medalist in a field of 72, carding a round of 70, at the Franklin & Marshall Fall Invitational (Oct. 16)…Closed the fall season with an 83 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 30), finishing fifth on the Raptors’ A Team and tied for 11th of 29 overall.
