Becca Donahue made her collegiate softball debut as a freshman with the Scarlet Raptors during the 2019 season and returned during the short 2020 season with the Rutgers-Camden program.
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring and 2020 Fall semesters…One of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA…One of 29 athletes on the 151-member 2020 Fall AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Softball 2020: Member of the softball program for the second straight season, but didn’t appear in any contest during the four-game season shortened by the COVID-10 pandemic.
Softball 2019: Played in five games, starting two in the outfield and serving as a pinch-hitter in three others…Went 0-for-7 (.000) with two sacrifices and two putouts…Made her collegiate debut as a pinch-hitter against Wesleyan (March 20)…Made her first starts during a March 22 doubleheader, playing right field against both McDaniel and Western New England…Went 0-for-3 against McDaniel and 0-for-2 with a sacrifice and two putouts against Western New England...Had pinch-hitting appearances against New Jersey City (March 30, Game Two) and Catholic (April 17, Game Two)…Her eighth-inning sacrifice in the Catholic game set up the Raptors’ tying run in a game that Rutgers-Camden eventually won, 9-8, in nine innings.
High School: Earned four varsity softball letters for Coach Julie Knight at Woodstown High School…Added one varsity field hockey letter…Two-time softball team captain…Two-time Athlete of the Month…All-Conference Second Team…Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and a senior…Principal’s List…Rotarian of the Month…National Honor Society…Graduated in 2018.
