Biography
Midfielder Sarah Zuzulock appeared in every Rutgers-Camden game during her brilliant four-year career with the women’s soccer program, starting all but two of them. Her 69 career games are tied for 16th on the program’s career list and her 12 assists are tied for the 13th-highest total. She added seven goals for 26 career points.
Named the team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior, Zuzulock was a two-time team captain who led Rutgers-Camden to New Jersey Athletic Conference playoff berths during her final two seasons. The Scarlet Raptors also added an ECAC playoff berth in 2018. Prior to that season, the team hadn’t reached either the NJAC or the ECAC playoffs since 2007.
Zuzulock’s accomplishments extend far beyond the soccer pitch, where she was one of the team’s leaders. A Dean’s List student who captured numerous academic honors in the demanding field of Nursing, she also served on the school’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
During her senior year, Zuzulock was named Rutgers-Camden’s Woman of the Year by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW). The NJAIAW annually honors one female athlete from all of the state’s two- and four-year colleges, noting, “Each Woman of the Year recipient has made significant contributions to her institution and community through athletic accomplishments, academic success and community involvement.”

Soccer 2019: One of the team’s four captains for the second straight season…Rutgers-Camden’s NJAIAW Woman of the Year…Played in all 18 Scarlet Raptor games, starting 16…Collected one goal and tied for the team lead with two assists…Tied for fourth on the Raptors with four points…Took 11 shots, putting six on goal for a .545 percentage…Scored the team’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Shenandoah (Sept. 8)…Assisted on Meghan Wachira’s game-winning goal to beat Kean, 2-1, on Sept. 28 and allow Wachira to tie the program career record with 13 game-winning goals…Her corner kick led to the game-winning goal by Lindsay Hernandez to beat Rutgers-Newark, 1-0 (Oct. 12)…Took three shots, two on goal, during a 4-1 win at New Jersey City (Oct. 5).
Soccer 2018: Named team’s Most Valuable Player…One of the team’s four captains…Started all 19 games for Rutgers-Camden, collecting one goal and tying for the team lead with four assists…Tied for third on the team in scoring with six points…Took 19 shots, putting 11 on goal for a .579 percentage…Tied for 11th in the NJAC in assists and tied for 14th in assists per game (0.21)…All four of her assists came against NJAC opponents…Collected her lone goal of the season in a 4-1 victory over Neumann University (Sept. 10)…Her perfect corner kick assisted on Ava Pizzaro’s game-tying goal in the 80th minute as the Scarlet Raptors played to a 1-1 overtime deadlock against NJAC power Montclair State University (Sept. 15)…Collected an assist on the second goal of the game in 2-0 wins over Ramapo College (Oct. 13) and William Paterson University (Oct. 20)…Had an assist in the Raptors’ 2-1 loss against Stockton University (Oct. 24).
Soccer 2017: Started all 16 games for the Scarlet Raptors, one of only four players to do so in 2017…Finished second on the team with five goals and 14 points, while placing third with four assists…Took 24 shots, 15 on goal for a .625 percentage…Notched the team’s highest-scoring game of the season when she had five points (two goals and one assist) in a 4-1 victory at Lancaster Bible College (Oct. 4)…Had an assist in three straight games, coming against Widener University (Sept. 6), Shenandoah University (Sept. 9) and North Carolina Wesleyan (Sept. 10)…In her next game, collected two goals during a 5-1 win over Rosemont College (Sept. 13), stretching her scoring streak to four games, a mark that tied Meghan Wachira for the longest on the team during the season…Scored the Raptors’ lone goal in an 8-1 loss to Johns Hopkins University (Sept. 20).
Soccer 2016: Started all 16 games for the Scarlet Raptors, one of eight players to do so…Notched two assists for two points…Took seven shots, three on goal…Made her first collegiate start and played all 90 minutes in the season-opening 3-0 loss to 12th-ranked Swarthmore College (Sept. 1)…Played all 90 minutes in the next game as the Raptors posted their first win and shutout of the season with a 1-0 victory at Widener University (Sept. 3)…Earned her first collegiate point with an assist on Catherine Fiore’s goal and played the entire 110 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Drew University (Sept. 10)…Also played the entire 110 minutes in a 0-0 tie against Moravian College (Sept. 11)…Assisted on Fiore’s game-tying goal at 71:45 as Rutgers-Camden took 19th-ranked Johns Hopkins University into overtime before losing, 3-2, on the road Sept. 21.
High School: Multi-sport athlete at Gateway Regional High School who captured 10 varsity letters over the course of her scholastic career…Earned four soccer letters for Coach Shawn Cunning, a former letterman on the Rutgers-Camden men’s team…Also added three letters in winter track, two in spring track and one in lacrosse…Helped the Gators capture the Group 1 soccer title during her sophomore season, when she earned All-Conference Second Team honors…Captured All-Conference First Team recognition during both her junior and senior seasons…Team captain as a junior and a senior.
