Injuries hampered Ava Pizzaro throughout her collegiate career at Rutgers-Camden, limiting her to 30 games and 23 starts. Pizzaro missed the entire 2021 season, save for a token appearance on Senior Day, when she was penciled into the starting lineup and immediately removed from the game when the ball was purposely kicked out of bounds.

When healthy, Pizzaro showcased her talent by capturing New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors in 2018.

Soccer 2020: Played in all seven Rutgers-Camden games during the pandemic-altered short season, starting three…Took five shots, four on goal…Scored one goal for two points…Took two shots and scored a goal during the Scarlet Raptors’ season-opening 3-0 win at Ramapo College (March 10)…Helped the team post five consecutive shutouts against New Jersey Athletic Conference opponents to open the season, including her first start of the year in a 0-0 tie against Montclair State (March 31)…Played her season high of 78 minutes in that game, taking two shots, both on goal…Also started both NJAC playoff games, a 3-1 semifinal win over Ramapo (April 10) and a 1-0 loss against Montclair State in the championship game (April 14).

Soccer 2019: Played in four games, starting one, in a season shortened by injury…Started the Scarlet Raptors’ season opener and played her high of 54 minutes against Elizabethtown (Aug. 30)…Played 48 minutes and took her lone shot of the season (on goal) in a game against Washington (Sept. 7)…Played 45 minutes against Neumann (Sept. 25) before being limited to only four more minutes the rest of the season, coming in a game at New Jersey City (Oct. 5).

Soccer 2018: Captured New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors…Started all 18 of her games…Notched six goals and 15 points, the second-highest totals on the team…Finished third on the Raptors with three assists…Had one game-winning goal…Made her collegiate debut in the season opener against Elizabethtown College (Aug. 31), scoring one of the Scarlet Raptors’ goals in a 4-2 loss…Had her first collegiate assist on Meghan Wachira’s game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Lancaster Bible (Sept. 5)…Collected the game-tying goal in the 80th minute during a 1-1 overtime deadlock with NJAC power Montclair State University (Sept. 15)…Named the NJAC Rookie of the Week on Sept. 24 after notching an assist and the game-winning goal in overtime, lifting the Scarlet Raptors to a 2-1 victory over Kean University…Had another three-point conference game with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over New Jersey City University (Sept. 29)…Scored insurance goals in a pair of NJAC 2-0 wins over Ramapo College (Oct. 13) and William Paterson University (Oct. 20).
