Biography

Jude Misko continued his championship ways during the 2021-22 scholastic year, when he earned his second straight NCAA Division III national championship in the hammer throw. The two-time NCAA All-American also earned a national title and All-American status during his junior college career with Rowan College at Gloucester County.

During his brief time with the Scarlet Raptors’ programs, he has set school records both indoors (weight throw) and outdoors (hammer throw) He has won five NJAC and two ECAC championships.
 
A transfer who was a national champion and an All-American in the hammer while competing for Rowan College at Gloucester County, Misko also has earned several academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.
 
Program records (through 2021-22): Indoor Track – Weight Throw (17.71 M) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 5, 2022); Outdoor Track – Hammer Throw (62.21 M) at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 2, 2022).

Outdoor Track 2022: Captured his second straight NCAA Div. III hammer championship and All-American honor, finishing first of 20 athletes at the NCAA meet May 28 with a throw of 60.42 meters…Also won his third conference title with a throw of 61.92 meters (first of 24) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 8), setting an NJAC Championship record in the process…Named NJAC Men’s Outstanding Field Athlete…Finished first in the hammer throw in six of his seven meets during the season, while setting a program record of 62.21 meters in the other meet, when he placed fifth of nine throwers at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 2)…Earned NJAC Field Athlete of the Week on April 4, April 11 and May 31…Earned Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on May 16 and May 30…Placed first of 16 in the hammer (60.66 meters) at the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 26)…Was first of 32 at the Osprey Open (April 8) with a hammer throw of 60.51 meters…First of seven in the hammer (60.19 meters) at the Gwynedd Mercy meet (April 14)…First of 26 in the hammer (61.33 meters) at the Widener Invitational (April 23).
 
Indoor Track 2021-22: Competed in the weight throw at six meets…Broke his own program record with a throw of 17.71 meters at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 5), finishing first of 21 athletes…Placed first of 22 weight throwers at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 21) to capture the NJAC weight throw title (17.64 meters)…Earned honors as the NJAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week on both Jan. 31 and Feb. 7…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on Jan. 31 and Feb. 7…Placed sixth of 39 (16.22 meters) at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 21)…Finished first of 13 at the McElligott Invitational (Jan. 29) with a weight throw of 16.87 meters…Placed second of seven (16.99 meters) at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet (Feb. 25)…Finished sixth of 22 (17.49 meters) at the IC4A Championships (March 5).
Outdoor Track 2021: NCAA Div. III national champion and All-American in the hammer throw, finishing first of 17 athletes with a throw of 60.48 meters at the NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championship May 29…Also earned New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors by winning the championship in the hammer throw at the NJAC Meet May 9, placing first of 16 (61.16 meters)…NJAC Field Athlete of the Week March 29, April 26 and May 10 and May 31…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week April 26, May 10 and May 31…Finished first in the hammer throw at all seven of his meets, including the Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational on April 24, a meet that featured athletes from all NCAA divisions…At that meet, he placed first of 10 athletes while raising his own Rutgers-Camden hammer record to 61.19 meters…That meet marked the third time during the season that he broke his own program hammer mark, with the first time coming in the season-opening meet, the Stockton Invitational #1, on March 26 (first of 11, 57.97 meters)…Raised that standard with a throw of 59.56 meters to place first of seven at the Stockton Invitational #2 (April 2)…Finished first of 12 at the Bill Fritz Invitational April 17 with a hammer throw of 56.20 meters…Had a hammer throw of 59.63 meters to finish first of 14 at the Osprey Twilight Meet (April 30).

Indoor Track 2019-20: Competed in four meets in the weight throw and one in the shot put…Broke his own program record in the weight throw while collecting three ECAC qualifiers in the event prior to closing the season at the ECAC meet…Won weight  throw championships at both the NJAC meet (Feb. 24, finishing first of 24 to earn NJAC First Team honors, while breaking his own program record with a distance of 17.03 meters) and the ECAC meet (March 7, first of 10, 16.37 meters)…Earned Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week honor on Dec. 16 after finishing second of 18 athletes in the weight throw (16.27 meters) at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 13)…Opened the campaign with a weight throw of 15.08 meters (fourth of 29) at the Fastrack Season Opener (Dec. 6)…In addition to his NJAC title in the weight throw, also finished 21st of 32 in the shot put (10.26 meters) at the conference meet on Feb. 24.
 
Outdoor Track 2019: Earned the NJAC and ECAC titles in the hammer…USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region…Competed in the hammer throw at eight meets, throwing ECAC qualifiers in all seven outings leading up to the ECAC championships (May 15), in which he earned the ECAC title by finishing first of 14 in the event (54.33 meters)…On the second day of the ECAC Championships (May 16), placed fifth of 10 in the shot put (a PR of 13.27 meters)…Overall, competed in the shot put in three meets and the discus once…Made his Raptor outdoor track debut in the hammer throw (53.10 meters) at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 30) to finish third of 29…Finished first of 15 in the hammer (setting a program record of 54.11 meters, which he broke later in the year) at the Oscar Moore Open (April 5)…Finished first of 26 in the hammer (53.90 meters) at the Osprey Open (April 12)…Had a stellar meet at the Widener Invitational (April 20), setting a program record in the hammer throw (54.59 meters to place third of 26), finishing 16th of 27 in the shot put (11.09 meters) and participating in his lone discus competition of the spring (27.63 meters, 22nd of 22)…Finished 12th of 25 in the hammer (53.84 meters) at the prestigious Penn Relays (April 27)…Earned his NJAC title in a 24-man field with a hammer throw of 52.47 meters on May 4 at the NJAC Championships, then finished 11th of 29 in the shot put (11.84 meters) the next day at the conference meet.
 
Indoor Track 2018-19: Competed in the weight throw in five meets, while adding the shot put at three meets…Made his Rutgers-Camden athletic debut at the season-opening TCNJ Open (Dec. 1), setting a program record of 15.80 in the weight throw to finish fifth of 15…At the Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 7), set a PR of 13.24 meters in the shot put (finishing sixth of 22) and placed second of 16 in the weight throw (15.52)…Finished 21st of 75 in the shot put (12.76 meters) and 11th of 61 in the weight throw (14.93 meters) at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 18)…Competed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 18), placing seventh of 40 in the shot put (13.06 meters) and sixth of 30 in the weight throws (14.05 meters)…Finished third of seven in the weight throw (15.55 meters) at the ECAC Championships (March 2).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Won the NJCAA Division III national championship in the hammer throw in 2017, competing for Rowan College at Gloucester County…2017 All-American in the hammer throw…Former RCGC school record holder in the weight and hammer throw…Competed two years with the Roadrunners’ outdoor track program.
