Biography

Hani Qureshi made his Rutgers-Camden athletic debut as a member of the men’s tennis program during the Scarlet Raptors’ 2022 spring semester season and remained with the team during the 2022-23 scholastic year.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2022-23 scholastic year…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2021 Fall, 2022 Spring and 2023 Spring semesters.
 
Tennis Spring 2023: Posted an 0-8 record in singles (0-5 at third singles and 0-3 at fourth singles)…Went 0-9 in doubles (0-5 at third doubles and 0-4 at the second flight)…Closest singles match came against Arcadia (April 10) when he was defeated at the third spot, 3-6, 1-6…In doubles, combined with Matthew Tepfer four times, Christopher Abacan three times and Thanh Ngo twice…Lost 2-8 with Abacan at second doubles against Elizabethtown (April 16)…Lost a pair of 1-8 doubles decisions with Tepfer (third doubles against Neumann, April 2) and Abacan (second doubles against Cairn, April 22).
 
Tennis Fall 2022: Posted a 0-2 record in both singles and doubles in the brief fall season…At Cabrini University (Sept. 23), lost a close match at fourth singles (5-7, 6-4, 8-9) and at first doubles with Edward McWilliams (2-8)…Lost at third singles (1-6, 0-6) and at third doubles (1-8), teaming with Matthew Tepfer against York College of Pennsylvania (Oct. 15).

Tennis 2021-22:  Played in all five matches for the Scarlet Raptors during the spring semester, going 0-5 in singles and 0-5 in doubles…Went 0-3 at third singles and 0-1 at both first and fourth singles…Went 0-1 at first doubles with Sean Boen and 0-2 in two matches apiece at second doubles with Boen and Cristian Valdez…Made his debut against Eastern (March 11), losing at fourth singles (0-8) and at second doubles with Boen (0-8)…In matches at third singles and second doubles, lost against SUNY-Oneonta (April 1) by 0-6, 0-6 in singles and 0-8 with Boen in doubles…Also dropped singles (0-6, 1-6) and doubles (1-8 with Valdez) against Ramapo on April 15 and in singles (0-6, 0-6) and doubles (0-8 with Valdez) against Ursinus on April 22…Played both first singles (0-6, 0-6) and first doubles (0-8 with Boen) against national power The College of New Jersey (April 2).

High School: Was a member of his high school rowing team at Nixor College in Karachi, Pakistan…Graduated in 2019.
 
Personal: Born July 5, 2000…Hobbies include training dogs and riding horses. “Whenever I get a chance, I go back home and spend time on the farm with animals. I also love to travel, learn and experience different cultures, languages and food”…Dual major in Marketing and Management at Rutgers-Camden…Planning to work on his graduate degree after completing his undergrad degree…Wants to complete his graduate degree abroad…Hani is the son of Yousuf Bashir and Asifa Hameed of Karachi, Pakistan.
