Biography
Jacob Dinerman turned in a phenomenal performance in his first year at Rutgers-Camden, becoming the only athlete in program history to earn All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors in cross country, indoor and outdoor track during the same scholastic year. After earning his NJAC First Team honors in cross country during the fall season, Dinerman won the indoor conference championship in the mile run and the outdoor NJAC title at 1,500 meters to capture First Team honors.
Dinerman captured five honors as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week during the scholastic year, won USTFCCCA All-Region recognition at both 800 and 1,500 meters, set the program’s indoor record in the mile and earned academic honors.
Academics: Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters…One of only 23 athletes on the 167-member 2024 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA…One of only 41 athletes on the 180-member 2025 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA.
Program records: Indoor Track – Mile, 4:10.92 at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7).
Outdoor Track 2025: NJAC First Team, 1,500 meters…NJAC Second Team, 800 meters…USTFCCCA All-Region, 1,500 meters…USTFCCCA All-Region, 800 meters…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on May 5…Competed at five meets, beginning with the Stockton Invitational (March 22) when he finished first of 51 athletes at 800 meters (1:55.50) and fifth of 12 with the 4x400 team (3:29.84)…Finished first of 116 athletes at 1,500 meters (a PR of 3:52.82) and seventh of 28 with the 4x400 team (a PR of 3:23.27)…Helped the 4x400 team finish 14th of 18 at the Penn Relays (April 25) in a time of 3:26.47…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 4), earned NJAC First Team honors at 1,500 meters by finishing first of 20 athletes (3:55.46) and NJAC Second Team honors at 800 meters, placing second of 28 (1:53.95)…Set his 800-meter PR of 1:51.91 at the Widener Final Qualifier (May 12), placing 11th of 83.
Indoor Track 2024-25: New Jersey Athletic Conference champion in the mile (NJAC First Team)…NJAC Second Team at 3,000 meters…NJAC Track Athlete of the Week Jan. 13 and Feb. 10…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week Jan. 13 and Feb. 24…Competed in seven meets, including the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on March 8, where he finished seventh of 15 (4:14.14)…Opened the season helping the men’s 4x800 relay team finish first of six teams (a PR of 8:16.61) at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6)…At the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10), finished eighth of 56 in the mile (4:23) and 10th of 54 at 3,000 meters (8:42.53) to earn his first weekly NJAC Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 13…Placed fourth of 50 in the mile (4:14.22) at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 17)…Placed first of 43 in the mile (4:16.93) and fourth of 34 at 3,000 meters (8:41.96) at the Winter Evening Invitational (Jan. 24)…Set a program record in the mile (4:10.92) while finishing 16th of 90 at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7)…Captured a pair of All-NJAC honors at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23), winning the mile run (4:11.39) in an 18-athlete field and placing second of 15 at 3,000 meters (8:41.01).
Cross Country 2024: Earned NJAC First Team honors, becoming the program’s first All-Conference First Team runner since Alec Connelly in 2011…Was the Raptors’ top runner at all seven meets…Two-time Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week, capturing honors on Oct. 7 and Nov. 4…Served as a team co-captain…Made his Scarlet Raptor debut at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (Sept. 7), running an 8K time of 29:02.91 to finish third out of 78 runners, and finish as the top Division III runner…The performance earned him honors as the NJAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Sept. 9…Placed 16th of 189 overall with an 8K time of 26:01.68 at the Osprey Open (Sept. 14)…At the team’s lone 6K race, finished fourth of 69 (19:18.4) at the Herb Lorenz Cross Country Invitational (Sept. 20)…Was the individual winner in a field of 93 runners with an 8K clocking of 27:27.8 at the Highlander Invitational (Oct. 5)…Was the Scarlet Raptors’ lone runner to compete in the 8K Championship race at the Border Battle (Oct. 19), finishing 14th out of 279 runners with his PR of 24:57.9…Captured NJAC First Team honors by finishing sixth of 89 runners at the NJAC Championships (Nov. 2) in an 8K time of 25:41.5…Closed the season at the NCAA Metro Regionals (Nov. 16), finishing 21st of 186 runners with an 8K time of 25:39.3.
High School: Captured six letters at Haddon Township High School in cross country and track and field…Ran for Coaches Dave Donohue, Paul Steltz, Andrew Vernon and Dave Welsch…Also ran with club team Moody Park Shadows…Graduated in 2016.
Personal: Born April 15, 1998…Notes that “the only time I move fast is when I’m running, the rest of the time I enjoy building Legos or enjoying nature, whether hiking in Colorado or meditating in my backyard”…Liberal Studies major at Rutgers-Camden…After graduation plans to “pursue my dreams of being a college cross country coach. Currently I coach cross country/track and field at the high school level. My athletes from Haddon Township High School, Students Run Philly Style and South Jersey Track & Field have greatly inspired me to coach the rest of my life!”…Jacob is the son of Richard Dinerman and Danielle DiPalma of Westmont.
