Biography
Josiah Saint Elien finished his busy freshman year with three varsity letters, competing in every season with the cross country, indoor and outdoor track programs.
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters.
Outdoor Track 2025: Ran at four meets, beginning with the Stockton Invitational (March 22), when he set a PR of 2:05.08 and finished 10th of 51 athletes at 800 meters…Set a pair of PR times at 400 meters (52.22, 56th of 109) and with the 4x400 team (3:23.27, seventh of 28) at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29)…Posted a PR of 24.34 and finished 55th of 80 at 200 meters while competing at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5)…Helped the 4x400 relay team finish 14th of 18 (3:26.47) at the Penn Relays (April 25).
Indoor Track 2024-25: Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on Dec. 9…Established a PR in four events while competing in three meets during a season that ended prematurely with an injury…Finished first of six teams with the 4x800 relay at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), posting a PR time of 8:16.61…Had a PR of 3:35.88 and finished first of six teams with the 4x400 squad at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 7), while also placing fourth of six in the triple jump (a PR of 11.89 meters)…At the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10), posted his PR of 2:03.73 and finished 16th of 49 at 800 meters.
Cross Country 2024: Competed in all seven meets for the Scarlet Raptors during the season, finishing second on the team in six of them…Made his Scarlet Raptor debut at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (Sept. 7), running an 8K time of 33:39.76 to place 36th of 78 overall…Finished 141st of 189 at the Osprey Open (Sept. 14) in a time of 31:35.50…Posted his 6K PR of 23:23.0 to finish 40th of 69 at the Herb Lorenz Cross Country Invitational (Sept. 20)…In his lone meet where he didn’t finish second on the team, placed fifth on the Raptors and 68th of 93 overall at the Highlander Invitational (Oct. 5), posting an 8K time of 41:26.7…Placed 138th of 190 overall in the 8K Open race at the Border Battle (Oct. 19) with a time of 32:59.9…Finished 75th of 89 overall at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships (Nov. 2) with an 8K time of 31:23.2…Set his 8K PR of 30:52.6 to finish 140th of 186 at the season-ending NCAA Metro Regionals (Nov. 16).
High School: Captured eight varsity letters at Cinnaminson High School, earning four in outdoor track, three with the indoor track program and one in cross country…Earned All-Burlington County First Team in the 400-meter hurdles as a senior…Also captures a Coaches Award and an Athlete of the Month honor during his senior year…Graduates in 2024.
Personal: Born April 26, 2005…Nicknamed “Jojo”…Last name pronounced “Saint EL-ee-an”…Hobbies include playing basketball, playing video games, going to Bible studies, going on runs…Accounting major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to be a full-time accountant for his career…Josiah is the son of Rosemanie Saint Elien of Cinnaminson.
