Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Dontay Benson competed with the cross country team and the indoor track program during his freshman year at Rutgers University-Camden.
 
Outdoor Track 2024: Did not compete.
 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Competed in two meets, including the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1) when he finished 54th of 55 athletes in the 400-meter dash in a PR of 1:05.17…Ran on the 4x200 B Team, finishing 13th of 13 with a PR of 2:02.34 at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3).
 
Cross Country 2023: Completed a pair of 8K races…Made his debut at the Cairn Cup (Oct. 11), finishing sixth on the team and 37th of 37 overall in a time of 1:00:51.810…Shaved 18 minutes off his time to set a PR of 42:05.06 at the Border Battle (Oct. 14), placing fourth on the team and 141st of 152 overall.
 
High School: Track letterman at Leap Academy University Charter School…Graduated in 2023.
 
Personal: Born September 3, 2005…Nicknamed “Donn”…Hobbies and interests include drawing, listening to music, and running…Graphic Design major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to join a company needing a good graphic designer…Dontay is the son of Tashana Norman of Willingboro.
