Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Kristopher Ewell captured three letters during his busy freshman year at Rutgers-Camden, running with the cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams. One of the Scarlet Raptors’ top sprinters, he also added academic honors.
 
Academics: Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters…One of only 23 athletes on the 167-member 2024 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA…One of only 41 athletes on the 180-member 2025 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA.
 
Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in five meets, running everything from the 400- and 800-meter events to the 4x400…At the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22), finished third of 51 athletes at 800 meters (1:58.75) and fifth of 12 with the 4x400 relay team (3:29.84)…Placed 19th of 109 in the 400-meter dash (49.41) and seventh of 28 with the 4x400 team (a PR of 3:23.27)…Set his 800-meter PR (1:57.98) and finished 36th of 109 at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19)…Helped the 4x400 team place 14th of 18 (3:26.47) at the Penn Relays (April 25)…Posted a PR of 48.88 to place third of 27 in the 400-meter preliminaries at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3) and finished eighth of eight in the 400-meter finals the next day (49:88), while also placing 26th of 28 at 800 meters (2:17.46).
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week on Jan. 13…Competed in seven meets, running at 400 and 800 meters, as well as on three different relay teams…Made his indoor track debut at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), helping the 4x800 team finish first of six teams (a PR of 8:16.61)…The next day at the Bow-Tie Invitational, ran with the 4x400 team, which also finished first of six in a PR of 3:35.88…Placed 22nd of 88 at 400 meters (51.55) and 10th of 17 with the 4x200 team (1:34.61) at the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10), earning his NJAC weekly rookie honor…Set his PR of 50.62 at 400 meters, while finishing 28th of 119 at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7)…Notched his PR of 2:06.26 and finished 11th of 39 at 800 meters, while also helping the 4x400 team place ninth of 13 (3:53.20) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8)…At the two-day New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22-23), ran a 1:32.39 PR and finished eighth of eight with the 4x200 team on the first day, then placed 10th of 25 at 400 meters (50.66) on the second day.
 
Cross Country 2024: Competed at all seven meets during the season…Made his Scarlet Raptor debut at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (Sept. 7), running an 8K time of 38:15.95 to place fourth on the Rutgers-Camden team and 61st of 78 overall…Posted an 8K time of 34:20.70 at the Osprey Open (Sept. 14), finishing fifth on the team and 169th of 189 overall…Set his 6K PR of 24:19.4 at the Herb Lorenz Cross Country Invitational (Sept. 20), placing fourth on the team and 42nd of 69 overall…Ran in the 8K Open at the Border Battle (Oct. 19), placing third on the team and 157th of 190 overall (35:43.1)…Finished fourth on the team and 81st of 89 overall at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships (Nov. 2), posting a 32:55.3 clocking…Set his 8K PR at his final meet, running a 32:38.4 to finish fourth on the team and 156th of 186 overall at the NCAA Metro Regionals (Nov. 16).
 
High School: Multi-sport letterman who captured two letters apiece in soccer, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field at Ewing High School…Also earned one cross country letter for Coach Daniel Johnson…Two-time indoor track sectional champion at 400 meters and also added an indoor sectional championship in the 4x400…2023 New Balance Nationals Indoor Qualifier…2024 Adidas Outdoor Nationals Qualifier…2024 Indoor All-Mercer County in the 400-meter dash…Presidential Honor Roll in 2022…Honor Roll in 2023 and 2024…Graduated in 2024.
