Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Marvin Sandoval made his collegiate debut with the Rutgers-Camden cross country team during the fall of 2013, finishing as the second or third runner on the Scarlet Raptors in all seven of his invitationals. His freshman athletic year ended with an injury early in the indoor track season.
 
Indoor Track 2013-14: Competed in only one meet, the season-opening Haverford Invitational (Dec. 14) before losing the rest of the year to an injury…Finished 11th of 15 at 800 meters (2:11.70) and 16th of 21 in the mile (4:59.14)…The performance earned him New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors on Dec. 16.
 
Cross Country 2013: Competed in all seven invitational for the Raptors…Finished second on the Raptors and second overall out of 48 runners at the season-opening 5K Bryn Mawr Invite, posting a 17:48 clocking…In his first 8K collegiate race on Sept. 14 at the Roadrunner Invitational, placed 63rd of 129 in a time of 29:24.8, finishing second on the Raptors…Placed third on the team and 22nd of 100 overall at the Osprey Open (Sept. 21) in a time of 28:59.57…Finished second on the Raptors in a time of 29:07 at the Paul Short Run (Oct. 5), finishing 118th of 333 overall…Placed third on the Raptors in his last three invitationals, beginning with the CTC Championships (Oct. 19), when he ran another 29:07 clocking to place 45th of 99…Posted a 31:33.1 time at the NJAC Championships (Nov. 2), finishing 71st of 91 overall…Closed his freshman season at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals (Nov. 16), notching his best 8K time (27:44.2) and finishing 143rd of 275.
