Biography
A junior academically, Ajani Pinkett has sophomore eligibility as he competes in his first year with the Rutgers-Camden indoor track program. He earned his first letter with the Scarlet Raptors’ cross country team during the 2025 fall semester.
Pinkett also was one of the Rutgers-Camden students honored at the third annual Raptor Rising Star Awards, which “goes beyond celebrating grade point averages, recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding resilience in the face of challenges.”
Cross Country 2025: Competed in four 8K races in his first season at Rutgers-Camden…Placed sixth on the team and 82nd of 89 overall in a time of 45:21.92 at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial (Oct. 11)…Ran the Open race at the Border Battle (Oct. 18), placing 207th of 215 (41:15.0)…Finished sixth on the team and 82nd of 87 overall at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Nov. 1) with a PR time of 38:41.2…Closed his season at the NJAC Metro Regional (Nov. 15), finishing sixth on the team and 175th of 181 overall in a time of 39:36.2.
High School: Attended both Absegami High School and graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School in 2023.
Personal: Born October 12, 2004…First name pronounced “Uh-john-knee”…Interests include serving the community, giving back, spending time with family, traveling, and making an impact…Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Spanish at Rutgers-Camden…Following graduation, he plans to pursue a masters degree and attend medical school to become the first in his family to become a physician…Ajani is the son of Aisha Brathwaite of Egg Harbor Township.
