A highly-successful assistant track and field coach at Camden High School, Jonathan Diggs joins the Scarlet Raptors’ coaching staff for the 2025-2026 indoor track season. He will serve as the men’s sprint coach.
Diggs became a coach with the Camden High School program in March 2022 and helped the Panthers earn numerous team and individual honors. In 2023, Camden featured the NJSIAA Group 2 sectional champion at 200 meters, while earning 11 All-Olympic Conference honors.
In 2024, the Panthers won the NJSIAA Group 2 sectional team title, had the Group 2 champions in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay, and saw 12 of its athletes earn All-Olympic Conference honors.
During the 2025 season, Camden won the NJSIAA Group 1 state team title, had Group 1 champions in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays and added the Group 1 champion in the 100-meter dash. That Camden team saw 11 athletes earn All-Olympic Conference honors.
Prior to coaching at Camden High School, Diggs was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Maple Shade High School, from March 2020 through June 2022. He helped Maple Shade win the 022 Freedom Division title and develop eight BCSL Freedom Division honorees.
Diggs was a two-year letterman in both football and track and field at Maple Shade High School, where he served as the Wildcats’ football team captain in 2006.
Diggs received his BA in History from Temple University in 2013 and his MA in Teaching from Rutgers University-Camden in 2022. He is in his fourth year as a teacher in the Camden City School District.
