Biography
Deontae Wilson had a fine collegiate debut over the 2024-25 winter while competing in the shot put for the Rutgers-Camden indoor track team.
Academics: Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2025 Spring semester.
Outdoor Track 2025: Did not compete.
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in the shot put in five indoor meets…Finished 11th of 30 in the shot put (9.93 meters) at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6)…At the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 7), had a shot put of 10.26 meters to place fifth of 21…Set a shot put PR of 10.74 at the Widener Evening Invitational (Jan. 25), placing 14th of 50…Finished 28th of 45 in the shot put (9.98 meters) at the FastTrack Invitational (Feb. 7)…Closed the season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22), finishing 15th of 20 in the shot put (9.74 meters).
High School: Captured four varsity track and field letters at Lindenwold High School for Coach Zachary Marlin…Earned All-Conference Second Team honors…Principal’s List and Honor Roll for two years…Graduated in 2024.
Personal: Born May 31, 2006…Dhnaj “Deontae” Wilson…Hobbies and interests include math, video games and cats…Dual Political Science and Philosophy major at Rutgers-Camden…Deontae’s mother is Shennelle Johnson of Lindenwold.
