Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Arpreet Singh returns for his second season with the Scarlet Raptors’ indoor track team after making his collegiate debut last year as a member of both the indoor and outdoor track teams. He competed in nine invitationals, over the two seasons, as a shot putter.
 
Indoor Track 2013-14: Finished 15th of 29 in the shot put (10.32 meters) in his only meet, the LVC Invitational (Jan. 25).
 
Outdoor Track 2013: Served as a shot putter in five spring invitationals for the Scarlet Raptors…Made outdoor collegiate debut at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29) with a put of 8.39 meters to place 27th of 30…Finished 14th of 15 with a put of 8.38 meters at the Osprey Open (April 6)…Recorded a distance of 8.16 meters in the shot put to finish 41st of 42 at the Greyhound Invitational (April 20)…Also 41st of 42 at the Lions Invitational (April 27) with a shot put of 9.10 meters, his season best…Closed the spring season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship (May 5), finishing 22nd of 23 with a shot put of 9.08 meters.
 
Indoor Track 2012-13: Competed in the shot put in four invitationals…Made collegiate debut at the LVC Invitational (Jan. 26), finishing 22nd of 22 with a put of 8.13 meters…Put the shot 7.31 meters and finished 23rd of 25 at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 2)…Also 23rd of 25 at the Ursinus Open (Feb. 8) with a put of 8.10 meters…Closed season with his best performance at the NJAC Championship (Feb. 22) with a shot put of 8.35 meters, finishing 24th of 25.
 
High School: Lettered in football and lacrosse at Highstown High School.
 
Personal: Born July 15, 1994…Biology major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to attend either graduate or medical school and open up a business…Arpreet is the son of Amrit Kaur of East Windsor.
