Biography

One of the top sprinters at Rutgers-Camden, Robert Bayard’s outdoor season was cut short by an injury during the 2025 spring semester. An outstanding student as well, Bayard has earned several academic honors.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 scholastic year…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2023 Fall, 2024 Spring, 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student…One of only 30 athletes on the 138-member 2024 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29) before his season ended prematurely with an injury…Posted a PR of 11.29 in the 100-meter dash to finish 35th of 153 athletes…Also helped the 4x100 team finish 12th of 15 in a time of 44.63.
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in seven meets, including five times with the 60-meter dash, four times with the 200-meter dash and four times on relay teams (two apiece on the 4x200 and 4x400)…At the season-opening FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6) finished 41st of 101 at 60 meters (7.18) and 36th of 98 at 200 meters (23.30)…Helped the 4x400 team finish first of six (3:35.88) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 7)…Finished 33rd of 122 at 60 meters (7.20), 43rd of 107 at 200 meters (23.44) and 10th of 17 with the 4x200 team (1:34.61) at the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10)…Competed in the Gotham Cup (Jan. 17) and finished 21st of 54 (7:32) at 60 meters and 20th of 21 with the 4x400 team (3:39.93)…Finished 38th of 61 at 60 meters (7:34) and 54th of 105 at 200 meters (22.27) at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7)…At the Widener Indoor meet (Feb. 15), placed 33rd of 37 at 60 meters (7.29)…At the two-day New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22-23) finished 8th of 8 with the 4x200 (1:32.39) on the first day and was 16th of 29 at 200 meters (23.04) the second day.
 
Outdoor Track 2024: Competed in six events, funning the 100-meter dash at five of them, the 4x100 at four meets and the 200-meter dash twice…Finished 28th of 96 in the 100-meter dash (11.39) at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 30)…Placed ninth of 40 at 100 meters (11.59) and second of seven in the 4x100 (44.16) at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 6)…Set a PR of 11.37 at 100 meters (11th of 28), finished 22nd of 82 at 200 meters (23.12) and third of 11 in the 4x100 (44.05)at the TCNJ Invitational (April 13)…Tied his 100-meter PR (11.37) to finish 30th of 78, set a 200-meter PR (22.80) to place 45th of 101 and finished ninth of 18 with the 4x100 team (44.23)…Helped the 4x100 team place 12th of 21 with a PR of 43.13 at the Penn Relays (April 26)…Finished 21st of 28 at 100 meters (11.86) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4).
 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Competed in seven meets, beginning with the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1), when he finished third of 31 athletes in the 60-meter dash (7.16), 33rd of 61 in the 200-meter dash (23.56) and helped the 4x400 team to a 3:47.19 time, finishing 18th of 18…At the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), set a PR of 7.15 in the 60-meter qualifying (finishing second of 23) and placed fifth of eight in the 60-meter final (23.34), while also finishing 13th of 61 at 200 meters (23.93) and ninth of 14 with the 4x400 A Team (a PR of 3:46.58)…Finished 23rd of 92 at 60 meters (7.23), 34th of 110 at 200 meters (23.34) and 13th of 18 with the 4x200 team (1:33.93) at the St. Thomas Invitational (Jan. 12)…At the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20), finished 12th of 36 in the 60-meter dash (7.26), 11th of 68 at 200 meters (23.70) and eighth of 14 with the 4x400 team (3:47.00)…Helped the 4x200 A Team finish third of 13 (1:34.64) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3), while finishing seventh of 32 in the 60-meter dash qualifying (7.23) and sixth of seven in the 60-meter final (7.25)…Posted a 7.25 clocking in the 60-meter dash to finish 43rd of 121 and a PR of 23.03 in the 200-meter dash to place 49th of 121 at the FastTrack Nationals (Feb. 9)…Finished 12th of 22 in the 60-meter preliminaries (7.27) and helped the 4x200 team place fourth of eight (a PR of 1:31.80) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 19).
 
High School: Captured three track and field letters at Pennsauken High School for Coach Clinton Tabb…All-Conference in 2022 and 2023…Renaissance member…Graduated in 2023.
