Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A top-notch sprinter, Sydnie Marshall set a pair of program records during her second season with the indoor track team over the winter and continued her outstanding sophomore year with the outdoor track team. Marshall has earned two letters apiece with the indoor and outdoor programs, while adding academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.

Program records: Indoor Track – 200 M (27.20) at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7, 2025); Mixed 4x400 (4:05.42) at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 17, 2025).
 
Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in five meets, running four different events and establishing a PR in each one…At the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22), finished sixth of 20 in the 400-meter dash (1:02.39), fourth of four with the 4x100 relay team (53.31) and eighth of nine with the 4x400 team (4:40.12)…At the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival, posted a PR of 27.36 in the 200-meter dash, finishing 14th of 52, while also helping the 4x100 team place sixth of nine (53.84) and the 4x400 team finish ninth of 12 (4:31.15)…Finished 20th of 57 in the 400-meter dash (1:01.64), seventh of 12 in the 4x100 (52.09) and 11th of 16 in the 4x400 (4:20.90) at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19)…Ran with the 4x100 relay team (53.28, 20th of 22) and the 4x400 relay team (a PR of 4:20.44, 15th of 17) at the Lions Invitational (April 26)…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3-4), set a PR of 1:00.35 in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash, while qualifying for the finals by finishing eighth of 28 on the opening day…On the last day of the NJAC Championships, she placed eighth of eight in the 400-meter dash final (1:01.46) and helped the 4x100 relay team place sixth of eight (a PR of 51.67).
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on Jan. 20 and Feb. 10…Helped to post a program record in the Mixed 4x400 relay and broke the school record in the 200-meter dash while competing in eight meets…Established six PRs during the season…Placed 26th of 33 at 400 meters (1:08.20) and 13th of 13 with the 4x400 team (4:56.30) at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6)…Finished 10th of 30 in the 200-meter dash (29.11) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 7)…At the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10), finished 28th of 54 at 400 meters (1:05.73) and 10th of 14 with the 4x200 relay team (a PR of 1:57.26)…Placed 22nd of 30 in the 60-meter dash (8.66) and 55th of 74 at 200 meters (27.70)…Notched a pair of PRs at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 19) when running events for the first time, posting a 44.48 clocking to finish first of nine at 300 meters and helping to set a program record of 4:05.42 in the Mixed 4x400 to place third of seven…Set a program record of 27.20 in the 200-meter dash, finishing 38th of 79 at the FastTrack National Invitational (Feb. 7)…Posted a PR of 8.57 in the 60-meter dash (23rd of 48) and also finished ninth of nine with the 4x400 team (4:56.96) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8)…At the two-day New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22-23), finished seventh of seven with the 4x200 team (1:59.31) on the first day and ran three events on the final day, placing seventh of seven on the 4x400 team (4:52.69), 18th of 25 in the 200-meter dash (27.46) and 13th of 20 at 400 meters (a PR of 1:03.92).
 

 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Ran five different events over five meets in the winter season…Made her collegiate debut at the Fastrack Opener (Dec. 1), running the 400-meter dash for the only time and finishing 41st of 49 (a PR of 1:11.77) and finishing 14th of 14 with the 4x400 relay team (4:53.18)…At the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), finished 13th of 28 in the unseeded 60-meter dash (9.19) and fifth of 13 with the 4x400 (a PR of 4:40.73), while also finishing 38th of 64 in the 200-meter dash (30.02)…Set a 60-meter PR of 9.06, finishing 18th of 28 at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20), while also placing 21st of 52 at 200 meters (29.68) and 11th of 14 with the 4x400 team (4:54.13)…Placed 95th of 122 in the 200-meter dash (28.66) at the all-division FastTrack National Invite (Feb. 9)…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19), recorded a 200-meter PR of 28.44 to finish 17th of 21 athletes, while also helping the 4x200 team to her PR of 2:00.73, finishing eighth of eight teams.

 
Personal: Born October 18, 2005…Hobbies include traveling, running and listening to music…Biology major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to go to Med or PA school and earn her certification to become a pediatrician…Also hopes to travel the world…Sydnie is the daughter of Anthony and Nicole Marshall of Staten Island, New York.
