Xochitl Bautista-Castelan has earned three varsity letters with the Rutgers-Camden indoor and outdoor track programs and has added two letters with the Scarlet Raptors’ cross country team.

Outdoor Track 2025: Competed at three meets, running the 400-meter dash each time and adding the 200-meter dash in the conference championship meet…At the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29), placed 55th of 67 at 400 meters (1:09.68)…Posted a 400-meter PR of 1:06.65, finishing 38th of 57 at the Paul Donahue International (April 19)… At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3), finished 20th of 28 at 400 meters (1:07.12) and 28th of 32 at 200 meters (a PR of 30.30).
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in two meets, including the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), where she posted PRs in both the 60-meter dash (9.56, finishing 61st of 67) and 200-meter dash (31.20, 64th of 76)…Placed eighth of nine in the 200-meter dash (32.98) and sixth of nine at 300 meters (a PR of 51.71) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 19).
Cross Country 2024: One of the team’s co-captains, she competed in all six meets during the fall…Set her PR times at 5K at the Haverford Invitational (Oct. 25, running a 23:38.9 to place second on the team and 50th of 61 overall) and at 6K at the Border Battle (Oct. 19, 29:10.7, finishing second on the team and 70th of 121 overall)…Opened the season in the 5K Philadelphia Cross Country Classic (Sept. 7), finishing fourth on the Raptors and 56th of 71 overall (30:04.54)…Finished second on the team at 6K runs at the Osprey Open (Sept. 14, 32:35.87, 159th of 180) and the Highlander Invitational (Oct. 5, 30:48.3, 25th of 66)…Placed third on the team and 86th of 111 overall at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Nov. 2, 29:18.2).
Outdoor Track 2024: Competed in the 200- and 400-meter dashes and with the 4x100 relay team over the course of five meets…Opened the season at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 30) by placing 67th of 76 at 200 meters (31.72), 27th of 42 at 400 meters (1:09.76) and seventh of seven with the 4x100 team (a PR of 56.95)…Placed fourth of four teams with the 4x100 (1:13.59) at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 6)…Helped the 4x100 team (57.06) finish seventh of nine and also placed 29th of 40 individually in the 400-meter dash (1:11.88) at the TCNJ Invitational (April 13)…Finished 60th of 67 at 400 meters (1:11.57) at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 20)…At the two-day New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4-5) ran at 200 meters on the opening day (30th of 30, 32.32) and at 400 meters (22nd of 23, 1:11.81) on the second day.
Indoor Track 2023-24: Competed in four meets, beginning with the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20) when she finished 21st of 28 in the 400-meter dash (1:16.20) and 11th of 14 with the 4x400 relay team (4:54.13)…At the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3) finished 22nd of 36 at 400 meters (1:13.35) and 12th of 14 in the 4x200 (a PR of 2:15.48)…Had a PR in the 4x400 (4:52.64) while the team finished 12th of 12 at the all-division FastTrack National Invite (Feb. 9)…Ran a PR of 1:08.22 and finished 21st of 21 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19).
Cross Country 2023: One of the top runners on the cross country team in her first year with the program, she competed in five 6K meets…Made her cross country debut at the Sept. 16 Osprey Open, finishing third on the team and 118th of 133 overall in a time of 35:06.0…Placed second on the team at her next three meets, including the Jack Saint Clair Memorial (Oct. 7, 41st of 74 overall) in a time of 32:18.1, the Oct. 11 Cairn Cup (10th of 33 overall, 31:55.824) and the Oct. 14 Border Battle (51st of 81 overall with a PR of 29:48.7)…Led the Raptors and finished 71st of 102 overall at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Oct. 28) in a time of 30:14.8.
Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in four meets, running at 200 meters in her opening meet and at 400 meters in the last three…In the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 25), finished 21st of 29 at 200 meters (31.55)…Placed 54th of 67 at 400 meters (1:11.33) at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1)…Finished 25th of 33 in the 400-meter dash (1:16.76) at the Osprey Open (April 8)…Posted a 400-meter PR (1:06.96) and finished 40th of 54 at the Widener Invitational (April 22).
Indoor Track 2022-23: Competed in three meets, making her collegiate debut at the Fasttrack Season Opener (Dec. 2), where she placed 20th of 22 in her only time running 800 meters (3:01.27)…Finished 42nd of 46 at 400 meters (1:18.81) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 4)…Finished 18th of 21 in the 200-meter dash (32.76) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 20).
