Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Samantha Benckert made her collegiate debut with the Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer program in 2023, playing in eight games and scoring a goal on her lone shot. She added a second collegiate letter during the 2024 season. Benckert has played in 14 games over her two seasons, contributing to five shutouts, while adding academic honors off the pitch.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall semester.
 
Soccer 2024: Played in six games…Took one shot, putting it on goal…Contributed to two shutouts, coming in her first two games of the season against King’s College (3-0, Sept. 15) and Bryn Athyn (4-0, Sept. 18)…Took her lone shot against Bryn Athyn. 
 
Soccer 2023: Appeared in eight games…Took one shot and produced one goal for two points…Made her debut in the season-opening 3-0 win over Neumann (Sept. 1)…Also contributed to shutouts over King’s (3-0, Sept. 2) and Bryn Athyn (4-0, Sept. 16)…In the Bryn Athyn game, capped the Raptors’ scoring with 2:38 remaining in the game as she scored her first career goal.
 
High School: Graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 2023.

Personal: Born September 30, 2005…Enjoys the beach, fitness and concerts…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to become a pediatric nurse…Samantha is the daughter of Sandra McGrath and Steven Benckert of Franklinville.
