Biography

Chris Colman capped his stellar collegiate career with numerous honors during the 2021 spring season, including North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team recognition. In 22 career rounds with the Scarlet Raptors, he averaged 81.8, while capturing a multitude of academic honors.
 
Academics: North Eastern Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete for 2017-18, 2019-20 and 2020-21 scholastic years; Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2017 Fall, 2018 Spring, 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student…One of only 29 athletes on the 151-member 2020 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA…One of only 27 athletes on the 125-member 2021 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Spring 2021: North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team…Named the NEAC Golfer of the Week on April 20 after earning medalist honors at the NEAC Preview Tournament (April 14) by shooting a round of 74 to lead a field of 31 golfers…Opened the season with an 84 at the Stockton Invitational (March 31) to place third on the Scarlet Raptors and fourth of 16 overall…Led the team and tied for fifth of 25 by shooting an 82 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 5)…Placed third of 29 overall at the NEAC Championships (April 24-25), carding a two-day total of 76-79—155 to earn NEAC First Team honors…Closed his career at the RCSJ-Gloucester Invitational (April 26), carding a round of 79 to tie for third on the Raptors and tie for fourth of 22 overall.

Fall 2019:  Finished second on the Scarlet Raptors and second of 18 overall at the Stockton Invitational (Oct. 2), shooting a round of 79…Carded an 86 to place fifth on the team and tie for ninth of 17 overall at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 14)…Shot an 86 to finish fifth on the Raptors and tie for 20th of 30 overall at the New Jersey Cup (Oct. 24)…Placed fifth on the Raptors and tied for 27th of 49 overall at the Arcadia Knights Invitational (Oct. 28).
 
Spring 2019: Averaged 79.3 in three spring invitationals…At the semester-opening Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 20), tied for second on the Raptors’ B team and tied for third overall of 28 golfers, shooting an 80…Finished fifth on the A team and 12th of 22 overall with an 84 at the Stockton Invitational (March 27)…Carded a 74 to lead the B team and tie for fourth of 20 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Invitational (April 22).
 
Fall 2018: Averaged 77.7 in three invitationals, all with the Raptors’ A Team…Opened the season as the overall medalist, out of 29 golfers, by shooting a 75 at the NJCU Invitational (Sept. 18)…Shot a 78 to finish third on the Raptors and tied for sixth of 52 overall at the Ursinus Invitational (Sept. 24)…Finished fifth on the team and tied for ninth of 27 by shooting an 80 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 1).
 
Spring 2018: Competed in three invitationals, averaging 88.3…Notched back-to-back rounds of 80 after opening the spring semester with a 105 at the Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 14), playing as an individual and tying for 37th of 40…At the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 9), finished first on the B Team and tied for 7th of 46 overall with his 80…Two days later, was the overall medalist out of 26 golfers, shooting an 80 at the Stockton University Invitational (April 11).
 
Fall 2017: Averaged 85.0 in three fall rounds…Made collegiate debut at the Moravian Fall Invitational (Sept. 28), placing fifth on the Raptors and tying for 21st of 59 overall with a found of 83…Tied for fourth on the Raptors’ B Team at both the Stockton University Invitational (Oct. 1) and the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 30), carding rounds of 89 and 83, respectively…At Stockton, tied for 15th of 22 overall…At the Raptors’ home invitational, tied for 11th of 29.
 
High School: Top player at Gloucester Catholic High School for Coach Beth Quinn…Graduated in 2017.
