Biography

Chris Engel has competed with the Rutgers-Camden golf program every semester during his collegiate career. He owns an 86.0 average in 25 career rounds.

Fall 2014: Competed in two invitationals, averaging 86.0…Shot an 89 to place second on the Raptors’ B Team at the Richard Stockton Invitational (Sept. 24)…Tied for 12th of 20 golfers at that event…Also placed second on the B Team, while tying for 22nd of 87 competitors, with an 83 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Fall Invitational (Oct. 17).

Spring 2014: Averaged 87.8 in four spring invitationals…Shot an 85 in the season-opening Myrtle Beach Invitational (March 18), tying for 20th of 29…Finished 20th of 25 with a round of 91 at the Richard Stockton Invitational (March 23)…Finished fourth on the B Team and tied for 25th of 76 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Spring Golf Invitational (April 4), carding an 84…Tied for 40th of 46 with a round of 91 at the Swarthmore Invitational (April 21).
 
Fall 2013: Competed in two fall invitationals, averaging 84.5 and finishing second on the Scarlet Raptors’ B Team in both outings…Shot an 86 on a windy, rainy day at the Richard Stockton Invitational (Oct. 9) to finish 15th overall of 20 golfers…Carded an 83 to tie for 18th of 44 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Fall Invitational (Oct. 18).472
 
Spring 2013: Competed in a pair of invitationals, averaging 87.5…Placed fourth on the Raptors’ B team and tied for 19th of 23 overall, shooting a 91 at the Richard Stockton College Invitational (April 3)…Carded an 84 at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Spring Golf Invitational (April 12), tying for fourth on the B team and tying for 40th of 87 overall.
 
Fall 2012: Competed in three rounds over two fall invitationals, averaging 87.0…Tied for fourth on the Raptors and 61st of 84 overall, carding an 86 at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational (Sept. 17)…Finished fourth on the team and tied for 70th of 75 overall with a two-day total of 88-87-175 at the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational (Sept. 21-22).
 
Spring 2012: Competed in seven spring rounds over six invitationals…Averaged 86.7 for the sixth-best average on the Scarlet Raptors…Shot a 92 at the Richard Stockton Triangular (March 23) to finish fourth on the Rutgers-Camden A team and tie for 12th overall out of 21…Carded a 90 at the Moravian College Spring Invitational (March 29) to finish fourth on the Raptors and tie for 54th out of 91…Shot a 95 at the LVC Invitational (April 2), finishing fifth on the Raptors and tied for 86th of 105…Finished second on the team and tied for sixth of 25 overall with a round of 83 at the Rutgers-Camden Quad (April 11)…Carded a two-day total of 165 (85-80) at the Penn State Harrisburg Spring Classic (April 13-14) to finish fourth on the Scarlet Raptors and 40th out of 53 overall…Carded a round of 82 at the Franklin & Marshall College Spring Invitational (April 16) to finish second on the team and tie for 31st of 76 overall.
 
Fall 2011: Competed in all five rounds for the Scarlet Raptors during the fall semester, finishing fifth on the team with an 83.0 average…Made his collegiate debut at the Swarthmore Invitational (Sept. 19), carding an 89 to finish fourth on the Raptors and tie for 45th out of 73 golfers overall…Shot an 81 against Richard Stockton College (Sept. 28) to tie for first on the Raptors and lead Rutgers-Camden to the team title…He tied for third overall out of 14 golfers in that match…Shot an 82 at the LVC Invitational (Oct. 3) to tie for third on the Scarlet Raptors and tie for 39th out of 81 overall…Finished fourth on the team and tied for 22nd of 46 overall with a round of 85 at Rosemont College’s Ravens Invitational (Oct. 5)…Tied for second on the Raptors’ A team and tied for fifth out of 33 golfers at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 17), posting a round of 78 for his top outing of the semester.
