Biography

A two-time all-conference performer, Louis Wilson returns for his eighth and final semester as a member of the Rutgers-Camden golf program. The 2014-15 team captain, he has compiled an 84.5 average in 38 career rounds for the Scarlet Raptors.

Fall 2013: Competed in two rounds during the fall season, averaging 84.0…Made his season debut on a windy, rainy day by the shore at the Richard Stockton Invitational (Oct. 9), shooting a 91 to finish fourth on the Raptors’ A Team and 18th of 20 overall…Led the Raptors’ B Team and tied for fifth overall out of 44 at the season-ending RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational (Oct. 18), carding a 77.
 
Spring 2013: Only player on the team to compete in all 11 rounds during the semester…Averaged 83.1, fifth on the team…Earned the Barry M. Millett Memorial Award as the Raptors’ Most Dedicated Golfer for the 2012-13 scholastic year…Captured NEAC Third Team honors after shooting a two-day total of 80-79-159 at the NEAC Championships (April 26-27)…Finished fourth on the Raptors and tied for 11th of 34 overall as Rutgers-Camden captured the NEAC championship for the third time in five seasons…Closed the season shooting 94-86-180 at the NCAA Division III Golf Championships (May 14-15) to finish fourth on the team and tied for 204th of 210 overall…Opened the year playing as an individual and shooting an 82 to finish 11th of 32 at the Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 13)…His 84 was the second-best round on the Raptors and tied for 20th of 43 overall at the Swarthmore Invitational (April 1)…Led the Raptors’ A team with an 81, tying for third of 23 overall, at the Richard Stockton College Invitational (April 3)…Finished fourth on the A team and tied for 32nd of 87 overall at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 12)…Tied for second on the team and 30th of 93 overall with a 79 at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational (April 15)…Shot an 89 at the Muhlenberg College Invitational (April 22), placing fourth on the Raptors and tying for 33rd of 53 overall.
 
Fall 2012: Competed in four of the Raptors’ five rounds during the weather-shortened fall semester, averaging 86.8…Shot a two-day 95-85-180 at the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational (Sept. 21-22) to finish fifth on the team and 74th of 75 overall…Was fourth on the Raptors and tied for 38th of 72 overall with an 85 at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational (Oct. 8)…Placed third on the Raptors’ A team and eighth of 20 overall at the Richard Stockton College Invitational (Oct. 10).
 
Spring 2012: Averaged 85.4 over nine rounds (seven invitationals) during the spring season, the fourth-best average on the team…Captured All-NEAC Second Team honors, carding a two-day total of 166 (85-81) at the conference championships (April 21-22) to finish third on the Scarlet Raptors and 10th of 40 golfers overall…Also shot a two-day 159 (81-78) while competing as an individual, finishing tied for 24th of 53 at the Penn State Harrisburg Spring Classic (April 13-14)…Opened the spring shooting a 95 and finishing fifth on the Raptors and tied for 48th of 51 at the Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 14)…Finished second on the Rutgers-Camden B team and tied for 10th of 21 with a round of 90 at the Richard Stockton Triangular (March 23)…Tied for first on the Raptors and tied for 35th of 105 overall with an 83 at the LVC Invitational (April 2)…Finished fifth on the Raptors’ A team and tied for 12th of 25 overall with an 85 at the Rutgers-Camden Quad (April 11)…Shot a 91 at the Franklin & Marshall College Spring Invitational (April 16) to finish fourth on the Raptors and tied for 50th of 76 overall.
 
Fall 2011: Finished with the fourth-best average on the Scarlet Raptors during the fall season, carding an 82.0 over two rounds…Made collegiate debut with an 86 to finish third on the Raptors’ B team and tied for ninth of 14 golfers in a match against Richard Stockton College (Sept. 28)…In his only other outing, shot a 8-over par 78 to finish second on the B team and tie for fifth out of 33 golfers at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptors Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 17).
