Max Strout has earned numerous academic honors during his fine collegiate golf career at Rutgers-Camden, while serving as one of the anchors in the Scarlet Raptors’ starting lineup. In 16 career rounds, he has averaged 85.3.

Spring 2022: Compiled an 87.7 average in six rounds, while finishing everywhere from second to fifth on the team in its five invitationals…Shot a two-day 80-88—168 score at the United East Conference Championships (April 23-24) to finish second on the Raptors and tie for 12th of 40 overall…Carded a round of 84 at the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 23) to place third on the team and eighth of 18 overall…Finished fifth on the Raptors and 46th of 46 at the Stevenson Spring Invitational (April 4), shooting a 96…Shot rounds of 89 at both the PSU-Abington Invitational (April 11, finishing fourth on the team and 11th of 18 overall) and the F&M Spring Invitational (April 18, second on the team and tied for 55th of 75 overall).
Fall 2021: Averaged 83.8 while competing in all four invitationals during the fall season, the second-best average on the team…Led the Scarlet Raptor team with a round of 82 at the season-ending RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational (Oct. 25, tied for sixth of 42 overall)…Finished second on the Raptors at the Stockton Invitational (Sept. 21, second of 14 overall by shooting his semester-best round of 75)…Finished third on the team at the United East Preview (Oct. 4, tied for 10th of 19 overall with an 86) and the Franklin & Marshall Invitational (tied for 69th of 74 with a 92).
Spring 2021: Competed in all six rounds during the spring, averaging 83.8…Made his collegiate debut at the Stockton Invitational (March 31), shooting an 85 to finish fourth on the team and fifth of 16 overall…Carded a 91 to place fifth on the Raptors and tie for 18th of 25 overall at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 5)…Placed sixth on the team and tied for 16th of 31 at the NEAC Preview Tournament (April 14), shooting an 81…Finished fourth on the Raptors and tied for 16th of 29 overall at the two-day North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships (April 24-25), shooting a 79-88—157…Tied for third on the team and tied for fourth of 22 overall, carding a 79 at the season-ending RCSJ-Gloucester Invitational.
Fall 2020: Season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: Earned three golf letters at West Deptford High School, missing only his senior season, which was cancelled by the pandemic…Played for Coach John Cobb…Two-time All-Conference First Team…Was the 2019 Group 2 South/Central individual champion as a junior, shooting a 2-over-par 74 at Twisted Dune Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township…Graduated from West Deptford High School in 2020.
Personal: Born July 3, 2002…Enjoys hanging out with family and friends, going to the shore, “playing poker with my boys,” going to the Eagles’ games…going to bingo with his grandmother and golfing…Computer Science major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to “get a good job, get married and become rich”…Max is the son of Stacy and Dave Strout of West Deptford.
