After missing the fall season, Sean Hughes returns to the Rutgers-Camden golf team this spring. An All-North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team honoree at a sophomore last spring, Hughes owns an 80.3 average in 20 career rounds over his four semesters at Rutgers-Camden.

Fall 2018: Did not play.

Spring 2018: Notched an 80.3 average over four spring rounds…Captured North Eastern Athletic Conference First Team recognition, tying for first on the Scarlet Raptors and tying for second overall out of 42 golfers at the NEAC Championships (April 28-29) with a two-day total of 78-76—154…Opened the season playing as an individual in both the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 9) and the Stockton University Invitational (April 11), shooting rounds of 82 and 85, respectively…Tied for 12th of 46 at the Raptors’ own invitational and finished eighth of 26 at Stockton…By the end of the spring, had broken into the A Team lineup for the NEAC Championships.

Fall 2017: Averaged 81.5 in four invitationals…Started his season on the Raptors’ B Team at the Stockton University Invitational (Oct. 1), leading that team and tying for third of 22 with a round of 81…Tied for third on the A Team and tied for ninth of 44 overall with an 83 at the Penn College Invitational (Oct. 10)…Placed fifth on the Raptors and tied for 46th of 72 at the Franklin & Marshall Fall Invitational (Oct. 16), carding a round of 84…Finished third on the A Team and tied for third of 29 overall with a 78 at the RU Camden Scarlet Raptors Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 30).

Spring 2017: Averaged 81.4 in five rounds…Shot an 87 at the season-opening Myrtle Beach Shootout (March 15) to finish fifth on the A Team and tie for 25th of 33 overall…Tied for fourth on the A Team and tied for 11th of 29 overall at the North Eastern Athletic Conference preview invitational (April 2), shooting an 84…Placed second on the B Team and tied for seventh of 33 overall at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Golf Invitational (April 3), shooting a 79…Carded an 82 to tie for the B Team lead and tie for ninth of 28 overall at the Stockton Invitational (April 5)…Led the B Team and placed second of 19 overall at a dual match with Wesley College (April 19), carding a 5-over par 75.

Fall 2016: Posted a 78.9 average in seven invitationals, playing in all the Raptors’ events except the season-opening Moravian Invitational…Was a member of the Raptors’ A Team at every invitational except the last, playing on the B Team at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 24)…Made his collegiate debut shooting a 76 to finish third on the team and tie for ninth of 52 overall at the Ursinus Invitational (Sept. 27)…Carded a two-day score of 75-77—152 at the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Golf Championships (Oct. 1-2) to place fourth on the Raptors and tie for 25th of 91 overall…Finished fifth on the team and 14th of 25 overall, carding an 84 at the Stockton Invitational (Oct. 12) to begin the Raptors’ season-ending four-match winning streak…Was part of the Raptor squad that set a program team record with a 283 round in winning the Franklin & Marshall Invitational (Oct. 17) and then tying that mark at the Eastern Invitational two days later…At the F&M match, shot an 81 to finish fifth on the team and tie for 57th of 86…At Eastern, shot a 79 to place fifth on the team and tie for 19th of 34…Carded an 80 at the season-ending RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational (Oct. 24), leading the B Team and tying for sixth overall of 39 golfers.
