Biography

A transfer from Shenandoah University, Tanasia Stevenson joined the Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer program in 2023 and helped the Scarlet Raptors with her strong defensive play and her long throw-ins.
 
Soccer 2023: Appeared in 14 games, starting one…Took five shots, two on goal, for a .400 percentage…Played in five of the Scarlet Raptors’ seven shutouts, while helping Rutgers-Camden hold opponents to only one goal on six other occasions…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut in the season-opening 3-0 win over Neumann (Sept. 1), when she also took her first shot…Played in all four of the team’s games as Rutgers-Camden started the season with shutouts against Neumann, King’s (3-0, Sept. 2) and Albright (0-0, Sept. 6) before finally allowing a penalty kick goal in a 3-1 win over Hartwick (Sept. 9) to break a season-opening 324:54-minute shutout string…Helped the Raptors hold New Jersey Athletic Conference and national powers Montclair State and The College of New Jersey to one goal apiece in back-to-back 1-0 Raptor losses on Oct. 21 and Oct. 25, respectively…The TCNJ game was her first start as a Scarlet Raptor.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played in 21 games at Shenandoah in 2022, starting one…Collected three goals and three assists…Took 15 shots…Made her collegiate debut in a 2-0 win over Marymount (Sept. 1)…Notched her first point with an assist in a 4-0 win over North Carolina Wesleyan (Sept. 9)…Scored a goal in three consecutive games against Sweet Briar (Oct. 15), Eastern Mennonite (Oct.19) and Hollins (Oct. 22)…Added two assists in the Hollins game for four points.
 
High School: Soccer letterwinner at Millville Senior High School…2022 Sportsmanship Award…Helped team win the 2020-21 conference championship…Won the Coach Bob Hogan Memorial Scholarship…Member of the National Honor Society and the Leaders Club…Graduated in 2022.
