Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Thanh Ngo played during four semesters over his three years with the Rutgers-Camden tennis program. A Dean’s List student, he also  captured three berths on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
 
Academics: Dean’s List student and a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2022 Fall, 2023 Spring, 2024 Spring and 2024 Fall semesters.
 
Tennis Spring 2025: Did not play.
 
Tennis Fall 2024: Posted a 1-1 singles record (1-0 at third singles, 0-1 at fourth singles)…Notched a win at third singles against Penn State-Brandywine (Sept. 20) by a 6-2, 6-0 score…Lost at fourth singles against Division II Kutztown (Sept. 21) by a 0-6, 0-6 score.
 
Tennis Spring 2024: Posted a 1-7 record while playing everywhere from second to fourth singles (0-5 at third singles, 1-1 at second singles and 0-1 at fourth singles)…Went 1-7 playing second doubles throughout the season, teaming with Christopher Abacan in his first seven matches and with Cherif Kanoute in the last match…Collected his first two collegiate wins in the final match of the season at Lehman (April 26), winning 6-1, 6-2 at second singles and 8-5 at second doubles with Kanoute…Lost a tough season-opening match at third singles against Eastern (March 22) by a score of 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 3-6…Also lost his second doubles match against Eastern with Abacan as his partner, 3-8…Suffered a pair of losses at third singles (0-6, 0-6) and second doubles (0-8) against nationally-ranked The College of New Jersey (March 24)…Lost at Arcadia (March 30) in third doubles (0-6, 2-6) and in doubles (1-8)…Had losses against Elizabethtown (2-6, 2-6 in second singles and 2-8 in doubles) and King’s (0-6, 0-6 at third singles and 0-8 in doubles) in a pair of marches April 7…Lost at fourth singles (1-6, 1-6) and in doubles (0-8) against SUNY-Oneonta (April 19)…Dropped conference matches against Ramapo (April 20) at third singles (1-6, 0-6) and in doubles (1-8).
 
Tennis Fall 2023: Did not play.
 
Tennis Spring 2023: Posted an 0-4 record in singles (0-2 at sixth singles and 0-1 at both fifth and third singles) and an 0-2 mark playing at third doubles with teammate Hani Qureshi…His closest decision came at sixth singles against King’s College (April 16) when he lost 1-6, 6-7 (0-5)…In his only match at third singles, dropped a 3-6, 0-6 decision at Cairn University (April 22)…Lost a pair of 0-8 decisions in doubles against Arcadia (April 10) and King’s.
 
Tennis Fall 2022: Posted a 0-1 record in both singles and doubles during his first collegiate semester…Lost at fourth singles (0-6, 1-6) and at second doubles (1-8), teaming with Jojo Nguyen, in a match at Moravian University (Oct. 8).
 
High School: Played junior varsity soccer and volleyball at Pennsauken High School…Involved with the ASA (Asian Student Association) club…Graduated in 2022.
 
Personal: Born February 14, 2004…Hobbies include sports and working out…Biochemistry major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to join the Air Force and work toward becoming a doctor…Thanh is the son of Be Duong of Pennsauken.
