Gianna Bauer had a stellar season in her first year of collegiate softball, earning New Jersey Athletic Conference weekly rookie honors while leading the Scarlet Raptors in hitting. She produced another solid season in 2025 while serving as one of the Scarlet Raptors’ team captains.

During her two seasons at Rutgers-Camden, Bauer has started all 77 games the Scarlet Raptors have played. She was the Scarlet Raptors’ second baseman as a freshman in 2024 before manning shortstop in 2025.

Over her two-year career, Bauer has posted a slash line of .286/.359/.303 while scoring 31 runs and collecting 18 RBIs.

Softball 2024: Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week March 11 and March 18…Captured Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week, March 25…Led the Scarlet Raptors in hitting (.310) and total bases (40), while starting all 42 Scarlet Raptor games…Started 39 games at second base, two games at shortstop and one as the designated player…Added one double…Tied for second on the team with 13 RBIs…Third on the team with 14 runs scored…Walked three times and was hit by a pitch on three occasions…Had a .317 slugging percentage and a .348 on-base percentage…Had one sacrifice fly and five sacrifices…Went 1-for-4 on stolen base attempts…Defensively, finished third on the team in putouts (93) and second in assists (84), while turning one double play…Had a .973 fielding percentage…Finished second on the team by hitting .385 (17-for44) with runners in scoring position…Opened her collegiate career with a seven-game hitting streak from March 9-14, going 12-for-24 (.500)…After being held hitless in the opening game of a March 14 doubleheader, ran off another three-game streak (6-for-10, .600) and hit in seven of the next eight games (13-for-26, .500)…Tied for the team lead with four multiple-RBI games, getting two RBIs apiece against the Wentworth Institute of Technology (March 9), St. Norbert (March 15), Albright (Game One, March 21) and Kean (Game Two, April 13)…Led the team with 11 multiple-hit games, including three hits apiece against Wisconsin Lutheran (3-for-4, March 14) and St. Norbert (3-for-4, March 15)…Opened her career on March 9, going a combined 4-for-9 (.444) with four runs and two RBIs against Carroll and the Wentworth Institute of Technology…Hit her lone double in the opener of an April 6 doubleheader against Montclair State, going 2-for-4 in the game…Had a season high of seven putout against Neumann (Game Two, April 25) and a high of six assists against Albright (Game Two, March 21).
