Matthew Tepfer has paced the Scarlet Raptors’ tennis programs in singles wins and overall victories during both of his seasons with the program, while also leading the team with three doubles wins during the 2023-24 season.

Tennis Spring 2024: Posted a 2-3 record in singles during the spring (0-2 at fifth singles and 2-1 at sixth singles)…Played third doubles throughout the spring, going 3-2, including 2-2 with Tyrone King and 1-0 teaming with Christopher Abacan…Closed the season in style by capturing two wins in each of his last two matches: April 20 against Ramapo, winning 2-6, 6-1, 10-4 at sixth singles and 8-5 with King in doubles, and April 26 at Lehman with an 8-6 win at sixth singles and an 8-1 victory with Abacan in doubles…Lost at fifth singles (0-6, 0-6) and at doubles (3-8) against Elizabethtown (April 7) and split his matches later that day against King’s College, losing at fifth singles (0-6, 0-6) and winning his doubles math (8-6)…Lost at sixth singles (1-6, 1-6) and at third doubles (1-8) against SUNY-Oneonta (April 19).

Tennis Fall 2023: Competed at fourth singles and teamed with John Brady at second doubles during the Scarlet Raptors’ weather-shortened fall season…In the team’s lone match, against Penn State-Brandywine on April 17, he lost at singles (4-6, 3-6) and at doubles (3-8).

Tennis Spring 2023: Posted a 2-6 mark in singles (0-4 at fourth singles and 1-1 in both the fifth and sixth spots)…Went 1-7 in doubles, including 1-2 at first doubles with Edward McWilliams Jr., 0-3 at second doubles (0-2 with Hani Qureshi and 0-1 with Christopher Abacan) and 0-2 at third doubles with Qureshi…Notched his win at first doubles in the last match of the season with an 8-6 victory over Cairn University (April 22)…Also had a pair of narrow losses at first doubles with McWilliams, dropping a 6-8 decision against Arcadia (April 10) and a 4-8 match against Elizabethtown (April 16).

Tennis Fall 2022: Posted a 1-2 singles record and a 0-2 doubles mark during the Scarlet Raptors’ brief fall season…Won his first collegiate match at fifth singles (6-0, 6-1) at Cabrini University (Sept. 23)…In a match at Moravian University (Oct. 8), lost at second singles (0-6, 0-6) and at first doubles with Edward McWilliams (1-8)…In the Raptors’ final match of the fall, against York College of Pennsylvania (Oct. 15), lost at sixth singles (2-6, 2-6) and at third doubles (1-8) with Hani Qureshi.
