Ryan Christopher returns for his third and final season of collegiate tennis with the Scarlet Raptors. One of the key cogs on the Rutgers-Camden team last spring, he helped the Scarlet Raptors earn their first-ever berth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs and capture the GNAC Institutional Sportsmanship Award. Christopher was honored as the Raptors’ Most Dedicated Player during his junior season.

In two years at Rutgers-Camden, Christopher has compiled a 6-13 record in singles and a 7-12 doubles mark for an overall record of 13-25.

Tennis 2015-16: Compiled an overall record of 9-17…Went 4-9 in singles, mainly at third singles (3-5)…Also went 0-1 at first singles and 1-3 at fourth singles…Posted a 5-8 doubles mark, including a 5-7 mark teaming with Anthony Gendin (5-6 second doubles and 0-1 third doubles)…Also teamed with Jason Lin to post an 0-1 mark at first doubles…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Most Dedicated Player…Posted 6-0, 6-0 victories over Lehman at fourth singles (March 12) and over Berkeley at third singles (April 20)…Outlasted his opponent from John Jay College (March 19) for a 5-7, 7-6 (7-2), 13-11 victory in third singles…Notched a GNAC win against Albertus Magnus (April 16) at third singles, 6-0, 6-1…Dropped a close GNAC third singles match against Rutgers-Newark (April 27), 6-2, 5-7, 1-6…Teaming with Gendin at second doubles, posted an 8-2 win over Lehman College (March 12), an 8-5 victory at John Jay College (March 19), an 8-1 GNAC triumph against Albertus Magnus College (April 16), an 8-2 win over Berkeley (April 20) and an 8-5 GNAC win against Rutgers-Newark (April 27)…Dropped three close matches with Gendin at second doubles against Muhlenberg College (6-8, Feb. 21), Stevenson University (7-9, March 26) and Wilkes University (6-8, April 24)…Playing first doubles in the first GNAC post-season match in program history, dropped an 8-3 decision against Ramapo College (April 30), while teaming with Lin.

Tennis 2014-15: Compiled an overall record of 4-8 in his first season with the Raptors…Went 2-4 in singles, posting a 2-1 mark at sixth singles and an 0-3 record at fifth singles…Had a combined 2-4 record at doubles, going 1-0 at third doubles and 1-4 at second doubles…Named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference Team…Had four different doubles partners, teaming with Joseph Tyrrell and Jake Collette-Nippins twice apiece and once with both Zheng Lin and Onkar Singh…Made his collegiate debut against Neumann University (March 13), winning 6-4, 6-3 at sixth singles and joining Tyrrell for an 8-4 win at third doubles…Dropped singles and doubles matches against Goucher (April 11), Wilkes (April 12), Albertus Magnus (April 15) and Rutgers-Newark (April 19)…Won at sixth singles (6-3, 6-1) and second doubles with Singh (8-5) at Penn State-Brandywine (April 23).
Pre-Rutgers: Attended Rowan College at Gloucester County, beginning in the fall of 2013, and received his associate’s degree at the school…Didn’t play tennis with the Roadrunners.
