Biography
Vincent Flores made his collegiate athletic debut with the Rutgers-Camden men’s tennis program during the 2019 spring semester. He was planning to return for the 2020 spring season before the schedule was cancelled by the coronavirus outbreak.
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring and 2019 Fall semesters…Dean’s List student.
Tennis 2019-20: Season cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tennis 2018-19: Posted a 1-2 record at sixth singles and a 5-6 mark in doubles, while combining with Shariq Khan (0-1 at first doubles, 3-5 at second doubles and 2-0 at third doubles)…Made his collegiate debut against Neumann (March 9), losing his singles match (3-6, 2-6) and winning at third doubles (8-6)…Also won an 8-2 decision at third doubles against Moravian (March 16)…Won a pair of matches at sixth singles (6-0, 6-1) and second doubles (8-1) against Lehman (March 30)…Earned wins in back-to-back matches at second doubles against Neumann (8-5) and Penn State-Brandywine (8-3), on April 25 and 27, respectively…Lost narrow decisions at second doubles against Penn State-Abington (6-8, March 24), the College of Staten Island (6-8, April 7) and Rutgers-Newark (5-8, April 20).
High School: Earned a varsity tennis letter as a senior for Coach Robert Atene at Sterling High School…Graduated in 2018.
Personal: Born December 20, 1999…Hobby is reading…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden…Post-graduation plans are to settle down and spend “the rest of my life in the health or medical field with my family”…Vincent is the son of Francis and Whiline Flores of Magnolia.
