Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sprinter Ben Wilson earned a pair of letters during his freshman year at Rutgers-Camden, competing with both the indoor and outdoor track teams. He returned to both programs over the 2024-25 scholastic year.

Wilson also was one of the Rutgers-Camden students honored at the third annual Raptor Rising Star Awards, which “goes beyond celebrating grade point averages, recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding resilience in the face of challenges.”

Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in four meets, setting a PR in all four events that he ran…Notched a pair of PRs in the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22), finishing 39th of 47 in the 100-meter dash (12.50) and 26th of 36 in the 400-meter dash (56.54)…At the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29), placed 142nd of 160 in the 200-meter dash (25.34) and 12th of 15 with the 4x100 relay team (a PR of 44.63)…Placed 56th of 60 in the 400-meter dash (58.98) at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5)…Set a PR of 25.12 and finished 114th of 129 in the 200-meter dash at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19), while also running on the 4x100 relay team (13th of 14, 45.89).
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in four meets, beginning with the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), when he placed 97th of 101 at 60 meters (7.94) and 92nd of 98 at 200 meters (26.30)…Set a 200-meter PR of 24.87 to finish eighth of 16 at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 19)…At the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8), finished 50th of 58 in the 60-meter dash (8.03) and 38th of 39 at 400 meters with a PR of 1:00.60…On the second day of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23), posted a time of 26.04 at 200 meters to place 29th of 29.

 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Competed in six meets, running six different events…Made his debut at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1), finishing 31st of 31 athletes in the 60-meter dash (8.57) and 53rd of 55 in the 400-meter dash (1:04.04)…In a busy meet at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), set a PR of 8.38 in the unseeded 60-meter dash to finish 37th of 39, placed 58th of 61 at 200 meters (27.79), was 22nd of 26 at 400 meters (1:05.84) and finished 14th of 14 with the 4x400 relay team (4:21.91)…Had a pair of PR times at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20), finishing 32nd of 38 in the 55-meter dash (8.46) and 62nd of 68 in the 200-meter dash (27.51)…Ran three events at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3), finishing 50th of 54 at 200 meters (27.71), 44th of 46 at 400 meters (1:02.54) and 13th of 13 with the 4x200 team (a PR of 2:02.34)…Set his PR of 3:18.48 with the 4x400 team while finishing 12th of 12 teams at the all-division FastTrack National Invite (Feb. 9)…Finished 23rd of 24 athletes with a PR time of 1:01.12 in the 400-meter dash at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19).
 
High School: Graduated in 2023 from Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School.
