Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Bree Smith joined the Rutgers-Camden indoor track program during the 2021-22 winter, competing in sprints and hurdles. She earned her second Scarlet Raptor letter during the 2022 outdoor track season and returned for her second outdoor season in 2023. She returns to the indoor track team for the 2023-24 season, where she has sophomore eligibility.
 
Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in three different events over the course of five meets…Opened the season finishing 15th of 21 in the discus at the Stockton Invitational (March 25)…Participated in the javelin at her next two meets, placing 29th of 32 (20.93 meters) at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1) and 24th of 28 (17.84 meters) at the Osprey Open (April 7)…Competed in the shot put (6.90 meters, 44th of 50) at the Widener Invitational (April 21)…Had a 19.01-meter discus throw to place 21st of 22 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 7).
 
Outdoor Track 2022: Competed in the javelin, discus and shot put over the course of three outdoor meets…At the two-day Osprey Open (April 8-9), placed 24th of 26 in the javelin (16.80 meters) on the first day and was 37th of 41 in the discus (20.76 meters) and 38th of 43 in the shot put (a PR of 7.40 meters) on the final day…Placed 47th of 47 in the shot put (6.59 meters) at the Widener Invitational (April 22)…Notched a PR in both the javelin (20.97 meters, 10th of 15) and the discus (22.20 meters, 20th of 24) on back-to-back days at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 8-9).
 
Indoor Track 2021-22: Competed in the 60-meter dash, the 60-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash during the winter season, participating in seven meets…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut in the Fastrack Season Opener (Dec. 3), finishing 12th of 22 with a PR of 9.09 in the 60-meter dash…Ran a 9.10 60-meter dash (19th of 29) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 10)…Competed in both the 60-meter dash (18th of 31, 9.19) and the 200-meter dash (35th of 41, a PR of 33.36) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 22)…Ran the 60-meter hurdles at her final four meets of the season, beginning with the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 5), when she finished 11th of 14 in a time of 12.12…Posted her PR of 11.78 in the 60-meter hurdles (12th of 12) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 21).
