Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Charles Walker earned his first collegiate letter with the Rutgers-Camden indoor track program during the 2022-23 season, competing in both the weight throw and the shot put. He added a second letter during the 2023 outdoor track season.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2022 Fall and 2023 Spring semesters.
 
Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in the shot put at five meets…Made his outdoor track debut at the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 25), finishing 25th of 27 with a shot put of 8.23 meters…Placed 47th of 54 at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 31) with a put of 8.01 meters…Finished 33rd of 37 (7.77 meters) at the Osprey Invitational (April 8)…Set a PR of 8.96 meters and finished 45th of 51 at the Widener Invitational (April 21)…placed 31st of 34 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 7) with his second-best shot put of the season, 8.50 meters.
 
Indoor Track 2022-23: Competed in three meets, including the Fasttrack Season Opener (Dec. 2) for his collegiate debut, where he fouled in the weight throw…One week later, at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 9), finished 21st of 22 in the weight throw (7.18 meters) and 37th of 41 with a PR in the shot put (7.77 meters)…Set a {R in the weight throw (7.33 meters) to finish 19th of 21 and also placed 24th of 27 with a shot put of 7.41 meters at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21).
