Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Dyheim Watson earned a pair of letters during his freshman year with the Rutgers-Camden indoor and outdoor track programs, while adding a pair of academic honors. The Scarlet Raptors’ top thrower, he added letters with both programs as a sophomore.

Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in six meets, throwing the hammer in all six, while competing in the shot put at five meets and the discus in four…At the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22), finished seventh of 21 in the hammer (41.75 meters), 17th of 35 in the shot put (11.86 meters) and 19th of 29 in the discus (32.64 meters)…Set a PR of 11.89 meters while finishing 33rd of 54 in the shot put on the first day of the Danny Curran Invitational (March 28) and competed on the second day in the hammer throw, finishing 19th of 28 (41.89 meters)…Had a busy weekend at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 4-5), placing 10th of 27 in the hammer (42.92 meters) on the opening day and adding both the shot put (11.75 meters, 19th of 47) and the discus (31.03 meters, 31st of 48) on the second day…Placed 15th of 31 in the discus (a PR of 38.58 meters) and 23rd of 33 in the shot put (11.03 meters) on the first day of the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 18) and finished 11th of 28 in the hammer (42.71 meters) the next day…Finished 12th of 27 in the hammer (43.61 meters) at the Lions Invitational (April 25)… At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3-4), set a PR of 44.31 meters in the hammer, finishing eighth of 15, on the opening day before competing on the second day in both the shot put (16th of 23, 11.63 meters) and the discus (12th of 22, 35.64 meters).
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in both the shot put and the weight throw throughout the season, setting a PR in both events…At the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), placed 31st of 36 in the shot put (9.83 meters) and 10th of 28 in the weight throw (13.42 meters)…Finished 15th of 26 in the shot put (10.45 meters) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 7)…At the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10), placed 28th of 54 in the shot put (10.67 meters) and 12th of 39 in the weight throw (13.97 meters)…Competed in both events at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 17), with a shot put of 11.20 meters (23rd of 35) and a weight throw of 13.46 meters (19th of 31)…At the Winter Evening Invitational (Jan. 25), had a shot put of 12.22 meters (24th of 61) and a weight throw of 13.08 meters (17th of 47)…Set his shot put PR of 12.46 meters (14th of 51) and also placed 15th of 32 in the weight throw (12.51 meters) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8)…At the Widener Indoor meet (Feb. 14) finished 39th of 43 in the shot put (11.70 meters) and 23rd of 46 in the weight throw (13.58 meters)…At the two-day New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22-23), placed 10th of 21 in the shot put (12.07 meters) on the first day and wrapped up his indoor season on the second day with a PR of 14.39 meters in the weight throw (seventh of 17).
 
Outdoor Track 2024: Weight thrower who competed in six meets during the spring, most of them two-day events where he participated in the shot put, discus and hammer competitions…At the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29-30) finished 16th of 27 in the shot put (10.86 meters), 26th of 30 in the discus (26.88 meters) and 19th of 29 in the hammer (33.63 meters)…Competed at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5-6), placing seventh of 27 in the shot put (10.89 meters), 18th of 27 in the discus (25.98 meters) and setting a PR in the hammer on the second day, finishing sixth of 20 (41.09 meters)…Opened the first day of the TCJ Invitational (April 12-13) finishing 16th of 31 in the hammer (35.18 meters) and followed up the next day by placing 28th of 37 in the shot put (10.73 meters) and 15th of 32 in the discus (a PR of 34.80 meters)…Set a shot put PR of 10.98 meters to place 38th of 51 on the first day of the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19-20) and finished 23rd of 28 in the hammer (34.92 meters) the next day…Threw the hammer (37.77 meters) at the Lions Invitational (April 26) to place 22nd of 26…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4-5) finished 15th of 21 in the hammer (39.42 meters), 24th of 27 in the shot put (9.72 meters) and 17th of 27 in the discus (32.56 meters).
 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Made his collegiate debut at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1), finishing 27th of 33 in the shot put (10.27 meters) and 24th of 27 in the weight throw (7.38 meters)…At the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), placed 25th of 31 in the shot (9.61 M) and 17th of 17 in the weight throw (7.46 M)…Finished 40th of 59 in the shot (10.13 M) and 41st of 47 in the weight throw (7.44 M) at the St. Thomas Invitational (Jan. 12)…Set his shot put PR of 11.08 meters, finishing 16th of 32, and placed 24th of 25 in the weight throw (6.71 M) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20)…Finished 15th of 29 in the shot put (10.76 M) and 10th of 22 in the weight throw (10.66) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb.3)…At the all-division FastTrack National Invite (Feb. 9), placed 37th of 55 in the shot put (10.52 M) and 31st of 47 in the weight throw 11.22 M)…Capped his season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19) by setting a weight throw PR of 12.92 meters to finish 11th of 23 athletes, while also placing 19th of 23 in the shot put (11.00 M).
 
High School: Football letterman at Gloucester Catholic High School for Coaches Casey Murphy, Ian Chrzanowski and Kyle Murphy…First Team All-Conference on both offense and defense…Captured three first honors and one academic honor…Graduated in 2023.
 
Personal: Born June 24, 2005…Hobbies include playing sport and playing the electric bass…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to obtain a law degree to become an attorney and also get into real estate…Dyheim is the son of Dyheim and Marsha Watson of Mickleton.
