An All-American in the shot put during her junior college days with Rowan College at Gloucester County, Emily Hilt continued her outstanding collegiate career at Rutgers University-Camden, earning back-to-back trips to the NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, setting five program records (one of them, the discus, since broken), earning numerous New Jersey Athletic Conference honors and building an impressive resume of academic honors.
Hilt captured eight honors as the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week over the course of her Scarlet Raptor career, while adding 17 Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week awards.
Hilt was honored on Feb. 3, 2021, when she was named Rutgers-Camden’s Woman of the Year by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. The award came in recognition of the 35th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).

III Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 27) with a throw of 50.37 meters…USTFCCCA All-Metro Region in both the hammer throw and the shot put…Captured New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors by winning the NJAC hammer throw for the second consecutive year…Named the Outstanding Women’s Field Athlete at the NJAC Championships…Finished first of 24 in the hammer throw (May 6) with a meet record of 54.19 meters, breaking the old NJAC meet mark of 51.02 she set in 2022…Finished third of 25 in the shot put (12.03 meters) and third of 22 in the discus (35.92 meters) at the NJAC Championships on May 7, earning NJAC Honorable Mention in both events…Broke her own Rutgers-Camden program record for the hammer throw with a mark of 54.33 meters at the Osprey Open (April 7)…That record came less than one week after she raised her own program mark to 54.29 at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1), an accomplishment that earned her NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors on April 3…Named the Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on April 3, May 8 and May 29…Also named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week on May 8…Competed in the hammer at seven meets, including the NCAA Championships, and threw over 50 meters every time, while placing first at five of the meets…Was first in the hammer at the Stockton Invitational out of 17 athletes (March 25, 50.22 meters), at the Danny Curran Invitational out of 33 athletes (April 1, 54.29 meters), at the Osprey Open out of 27 athletes (April 7 with her program record of 54.33 meters), at the Widener Invitational out of 29 athletes (April 22, 51.59 meters) and at the NJAC meet…In a meet competing almost entirely of Division I athletes, finished 11th of 24 in the hammer throw (50.61 meters) at the Larry Ellis Invitational on April 14.
Indoor Track 2022-23: Captured NJAC Second Team honors by finishing second of 19 in the weight throw at the NJAC Championships (Feb. 20)…She earned the honor with a throw of 16.60 meters, breaking her own program record of 16.31 meters set at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21), when she finished first of 22 athletes…Her throw at the NJAC meet earned Rutgers-Camden eight of the 13 total points scored by the women’s team…Placed second of 20 at the Fastrack Season Opener (Dec. 2) with a weight throw of 15.64 meters…Finished first of 23 in the weight throw (15.13 meters) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 9)…Also placed first of 40 in the weight throw at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 4) with a distance of 16.27 meters…Named Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Feb. 6…Competing against athletes from all NCAA Divisions, placed seventh of 63 in the weight throw (15.58 meters) at the Fasttrack national Invitational (Feb. 10).
Outdoor Track 2022: Competed and excelled at three events – the hammer throw, shot put and discus – over eight meets during a brilliant season that ended with a trip to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships (May 28)…At the national meet, finished 14th out of 22 athletes in the hammer throw (49.50 meters)…Prior to the NCAA meet, had a dominant performance at the ECAC Championships (May 18-19), when she won the title in all three of her throwing events: finished first of 10 in the hammer with a program record of 52.42 meters, finished first of 10 in the shot put (12.93 meters) and placed first of nine in the discus (34.87 meters)…Had a stellar performance at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 8-9), earning NJAC First Team honors in the hammer (first of 20, 51.02 meters), NJAC Second Team honors in the shot put (second of 23 with a program record of 13.03 meters) and placing fifth of 24 in the discus (36.48 meters)…Earned NJAC Field Athlete of the Week on March 28, April 4 and May 23…Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on March 28, May 10 and May 23…At the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 26), finished first of 27 in the shot put (12.78 meters), first of 14 in the hammer (50.06 meters, at the time a program record) and third of 23 in the discus (34.67 meters)…Broke her week-old hammer record (which she would break again later in the season) at the two-day Danny Curran Invitational (April 1-2), finishing first of 23 with a throw of 51.53 meters…Also finished third of 32 in the shot put (12.71 meters) and fourth of 22 in the discus (34.54 meters) at the Danny Curran meet…Had another outstanding meet at the two-day Osprey Open (April 8-9), finishing first of 29 in the hammer (48.58 meters), fifth of 43 in the shot put (12.83 meters) and 10th of 41 in the discus (33.24 meters)…Set a program record (broken in 2023) of 37.49 meters while finishing fourth of 28 in the discus at the two-day Widener Invitational (April 22-23), while also placing second of 47 in the shot put (12.61 meters) and third of 28 in the hammer (49.06 meters)…In her final regular-season meet before the NJAC Championships, had another great performance at the two-day Lions Invitational (April 29-30), placing second of 33 in the hammer (47.06 meters), seventh of 40 in the shot put (12.23 meters) and eighth of 31 in the discus (36.22 meters).
Indoor Track 2021-22: Competed in seven meets, participating in the weight throw on six occasions and the shot put five times…Earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors in both the shot put (second of 21, 12.02 meters) and the weight throw (second of 17 with a program-record 16.15-meter toss) at the NJAC Championships (Feb. 21)…Finished first of 26 athletes in the shot put (12.85 meters) at her first meet of the season, the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 10)…The performance earned her honors on Dec. 13 as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week, an honor she also added on Feb. 14…Finished sixth of 43 in the shot put (12.19 meters) and 11th of 39 in the weight throw (14.06 meters) at the Gotham Cup (Jan. 21), earning honors on Jan. 24 as the NJAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week…Placed third of nine in the weight throw (14.08 meters) at the McElligott Invitational (Jan. 29)…Finished third of 44 in the shot put (11.85 meters) and second of 30 in the weight throw (at the time a program record of 15.10 meters) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 5)…At the Fastrack National Invitational on Feb. 11, finished 10th of 59 in the shot put (11.93 meters) and 18th of 65 in the weight throw (14.29 meters)…Closed the season finishing fourth of 11 in the weight throw (14.78) at the Fastrack Last Chance meet (Feb. 25).
Outdoor Track 2021: Competed in the hammer and shot put at all seven of her spring meets, while competing in the discus at six of them…Set program records in the hammer (47.26 meters) and shot put (12.99 meters)…Had a huge day at the NJAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship (May 8), earning NJAC Second Team honors in the discus (finishing second of 21 athletes with a PR of 36.38 meters), NJAC Honorable Mention in the hammer (third of 18, 46.35 meters) and NJAC Honorable Mention in the shot put (third of 20, 12.25 meters)…Raised the program standard in the hammer throw at three meets, beginning with the March 26 Stockton Invitational #1 (42.14 meters, fourth of 10), lifting the standard at the Bill Fritz Invitational April 17 (43.75 meters, fifth of 11) and establishing the current mark of 47.26 meters at the Osprey Twilight Meet April 30 (finishing first of 12)…Also raised the standard three times in the shot put, starting with the Stockton Invitational #2 on April 2 (12.16 meters, third of 13), improving at the Osprey Twilight Meet (first of 18, 12.67) and capping her season with a 12.99-meter throw to place second of five at the Rowan Last Chance Meet (May 20)…Overall, finished in the Top 5 of the hammer competition at six of her seven meets, including her win at the Osprey Twilight Meet…Finished in the Top 3 at six of her seven meets in the shot put, winning at the Stockton Invitational #1 March 26 (first of 13, 11.98 meters), the Bill Fritz Invitational April 17 (first of 10, 12.02 meters) and the Osprey Twilight Meet April 30 (first of 18, 12.67 meters)…In her six meets throwing the discus, Hilt placed no lower than sixth place and was in the Top 5 on five occasions…In addition to her second-place discus finish at the NJAC Championships, finished third of 12 at the Stockton Invitational #2 on April 2 (33.36 meters) and third of 17 at the April 30 Osprey Twilight Meet (36.23 meters)…Was named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on three occasions (April 19, May 3, May 24).

III All-Atlantic Region Indoor Track & Field Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)…New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team (champion) in the shot put with a Rutgers-Camden program record of 13.01 meters…NJAC Honorable Mention in the weight throw with a Rutgers-Camden program record of 14.75 meters…ECAC champion in the weight throw (14.28 meters) and ECAC runner-up in the shot put (12.74 meters)…Captured five honors as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week during the indoor season, earning recognition on Dec. 9, Jan. 27, Feb. 10, Feb. 17 and March 9…Named the NJAC Women’s Track & Field’s Field Athlete of the Week on both Dec. 16 and Feb. 10…Competed in eight meets in the shot put and six in the weight throw…Set the Rutgers-Camden program record in both events during her first meet as a Scarlet Raptor, the Fastrack Season Opener (Dec. 6), when she placed fourth of 29 in the shot put (11.58 meters) and third of 24 in the weight throw (14.43 meters)…Neither one of those records lasted through the season as Hilt raised the shot put mark five more times and broke her own weight throw mark at the NJAC Championships…In her second Raptor meet, the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 13), finished 10th of 30 in the shot put despite her “shortest” throw of the season at 11.00 meters…Also finished sixth of 23 in the weight throw (14.20 meters) at the Wagner event…Placed first of 18 in the shot put (raising her program mark to 11.84 meters) and second of 17 in the weight throw (13.81 meters) at the Dutchmen Invitational (Jan. 17)…Finished fourth of 47 in the shot put at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 25), raising her program standard to 12.22 meters…Raised the program’s shot put mark again with a distance of 12.30 meters, finishing first of 55 at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8)…Finished first in the shot put again, this time in a field of 36 athletes, with another new Rutgers-Camden record (12.62 meters) at the Susquehanna Invitational (Feb. 15), while also placing third of 29 in the weight throw (14.23 meters)…Turned in a phenomenal performance at the NJAC Championships (Feb. 24), setting two Rutgers-Camden records while finishing first of 27 in the shot put (13.01 meters) and third of 22 in the weight throw (14.75 meters), capturing NJAC First Team and NJAC Honorable Mention, respectively, in those events…Placed second of 13 in the shot put (12.74 meters) at the ECAC Championships (March 6)…Won the ECAC weight throw title, placing first of eight with a throw of 14.28 meters on March 7.
