Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A junior academically who has sophomore athletic eligibility, Gabiel Iorio joined the Rutgers-Camden indoor track program last winter and continued his Scarlet Raptor career with the outdoor track program in the spring. Iorio also added academic honors.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters.
 
Outdoor Track 2025: Competed at 800 meters during six invitationals and also ran the 400-meter dash once…Opened the season March 22 at the Stockton Invitational, finishing 51st of 51 at 800 meters (2:54.76)…Placed 104th of 104 at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29), posting an 800-meter time of 2:48.14…Improved his 800-meter time to 2:39.78, placing 60th of 67 at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5)…Finished 104th of 109 at 800 meters (2:42.98) and also ran his lone 400-meter dash (a PR of 1:02.55, finishing 81st of 81) at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19)…Posted his 800-meter PR of 2:29.98, placing 67th of 69 at the Lions Invitational (April 26)… At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 4), finished 27th of 28 at 800 meters (2:30.55).
 
Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in four meets, making his collegiate debut at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 6), where he ran on the 4x400 relay team (a PR of 4:12.40) that finished 14th of 14…Placed 49th of 49 at 800 meters (3:26.79) at the St. Thomas Aquinas meet (Jan. 10)…Posted his PR of 1:07.85 at 400 meters, finishing 39th of 39 at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8)…Set his PR of 2:57.56 and finished 19th of 19 in the 800 meters at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 23).
