Biography

Israel Miller Jr. made his collegiate athletic debut with the Rutgers-Camden indoor track team over the 2022-23 winter season and earned a second collegiate letter with the 2023 outdoor track team. He also earned academic honors during the 2022-23 scholastic year. A junior academically, he has sophomore athletic eligibility.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2022-23 scholastic year…Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2022 Fall and 2023 Spring semesters…One of only 25 athletes on the 133-member AD Honor Roll for the 2022 Fall semester to compile a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in five meets in the shot put, capping his season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 7) with a PR of 7.12 meters while finishing 33rd of 34…Opened the season placing 27th of 27 (6.58 meters) at the Stockton Invitational (March 25)…Competed at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 31), finishing 52nd of 54 (6.96 meters) and the Osprey Open (April 8), placing 36th of 37 (6.25 meters)…Had a shot put of 6.73 meters, finishing 51st of 51, at the Widener Invitational (April 21).
 
Indoor Track 2022-23: Competed in the weight throw at five invitationals, making steady improvement after fouling during his first meet in the Fasttrack Season Opener (Dec. 2)…At the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 9), finished 22nd of 22 in the weight throw (5.84 meters) and also made his debut in the shot put, placing 41st of 41 (6.06 meters)…At the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21), finished 20th of 21 in the weight throw (6.16 meters) and 27th of 27 in the shot put (a PR of 6.30 meters)…Set his PR of 6.73 meters and finished 32nd of 35 in the weight throw at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 4)…Closed his season placing 23rd of 24 in the weight throw (5.33 meters) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 20).
 
High School: Multi-sport athlete who earned four varsity letters apiece in wrestling and baseball at Winslow Township High School for Coaches Vince Jones and Tyler Bailey…Graduated in 2021.
 
Personal: Born June 13, 2003…Hobbies include exercising, playing video games and spending time with family…Criminal Justice major with an English minor at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to attend law school and become a real estate attorney…Israel is the son of Israel Sr. and Veronica Miller of Sicklerville.
