Kaitlyn Novak captured three Rutgers-Camden letters during her freshman year, competing with the cross country, indoor track and outdoor track programs. She also added academic honors.

Outdoor Track 2024: Competed at four meets in a variety of events, including her first heptathlon…Set a PR in both the shot put (9.48 meters, 16th of 37) and the hammer (31.67 meters, 15th of 32) at the season-opening Danny Curran Invitational (March 29-30)…At the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5-6), placed eighth of 25 in the shot put (9.21 meters) and ninth of 24 in the hammer (30.07 meters)…Finished 12th of 13 in the heptathlon (1,322 points) at the TCNJ Invitational (April 11-12), placing 13th of 13 in the 100 hurdles (a PR of 22.74), third of 13 in the shot put (8.61 meters), 13th of 13 in the 200-meter dash (a PR of 32.53) and 13th of 13 in the high jump (no height) on the first day and fifth of 12 in the javelin (a PR of 23.30 meters), 11th of 11 at 800 meters (a PR of 3:37.07) and fouling in the long jump…On the first day of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4) placed 14th of 17 in the hammer (28.60 meters) and 15th of 15 in the javelin (16.83 meters), while finishing 16th of 20 in the shot put (8.84 meters) the next day.

Indoor Track 2023-24: A shot putter and weight thrower at all seven of the Raptors’ indoor meets, Novak also displayed her versatility by running the 60-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and as a member of the 4x200 relay team…Made her indoor track debut at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1), finishing 19th of 22 at 60 meters (9.75), 22nd of 28 in the shot put (8.47 meters) and 21st of 23 in the weight throw (5.78 meters)…Competed in all three of those events at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), finishing 23rd of 28 in the unseeded 60-meter dash (9.72), 13th of 33 in the shot put (9.18 meters) and 18th of 21 in the weight throw (7.74 meters)…Set a PR of 9.48 to finish 63rd of 72 in the 60-meter dash at the St. Thomas Invitational (Jan. 12), while placing 71st of 81 at 200 meters (33.12), 31st of 48 in the shot put (8.72 meters) and 35th of 51 in the weight throw (9.09 meters)…Finished 18th of 35 in the shot put (9.08 meters) and 15th of 25 in the weight throw (9.19 meters) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20)…Collected three PR performances at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3), finishing 46th of 60 at 200 meters (a PR of 32.96), 11th of 39 in the shot put (a PR of 9.81 meters) and 12th of 14 with the 4x200 team (a PR of 2:15.48)…At the FastTrack National Invite, competing against athletes from all divisions, finished 32nd of 54 in the shot put (9.57 meters) and 41st of 55 in the weight throw (9.74 meters)… At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19), placed 11th of 19 in the shot put (9.02 meters) and 14th of 17 in the weight throw (a PR of 9.77 meters).

Cross Country 2023: Ran in five 6K meets for the Scarlet Raptors, posting her PR of 38:46.4 in her debut appearance, finishing seventh on the team and 132nd of 133 overall at the Osprey Open (Sept. 16)…Finished seventh on the Raptors and 73rd of 74 at the Dan Talbot Open (Sept. 29) with a 47:49.19 clocking…Posted a 41:28.5 time to finish fifth on the team and 65th of 74 overall at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial (Oct. 7)…Finished fifth on the Raptors and 25th of 33 overall in 40:43.613 at the Cairn Cup (Oct. 11)…Ran her second-best time of the season (39:49.2) and finished fifth on the team and 73rd of 81 overall at the Border Battle (Oct. 14).
